Holly's POV
"Holly, I'm paying Damon a visit with mum. Wish to join us?" Anna asks over the phone.
"Of course, afterwards I have a surprise for you and your mother" I tell her. "See you at the boarding house" I add before hanging up. I then call Jenna as I leave the house. "Hi Jenna, are you still free to meet later?" I ask her.
"Yes, I'll meet you at the shop" she assures me.
"Great, see you then" I tell her and hang up. I enter the Salvatore boarding house to see Pearl put Damon on his arse. "Take a seat Damon" I tell him smirking.
"Yes, I thought we could talk" Pearl tells him.
"Sure" he says reluctantly as he sits on the couch.
"We've taken up residence at a farmhouse just outside the town, thanks to Holly. It'll suffice for now" Pearl tells him.
"All 25 vampires?" he asks.
"Not all, some. I imagine that a few have already left town. Others are probably still in the woods or like us acclimating" I tell him.
"How did they get out of the tomb?" Damon asks out loud.
"I think the witch screwed up that part of her hocus pocus" Anna answers.
"I understand from Anna that the founding families still have a secret council" Pearl states.
"And that you're apart of it" I add.
"And now that you've infiltrated the council, I'll need to know everything they know. Starting with a listing names of all the council members and their families" Pearl instructs.
"And everyone you've supplied with vervain" Anna adds.
"Yes, that'll have to stop" I tell him.
"What exactly are you trying to achieve?" he asks us.
"Mystic Falls is our home" I remind him gently.
"They took that from us. Our land, our home. It's time we rebuild" Pearl explains.
"What, are you crazy? It was 1864. Wake up woman. The world has moved on" Damon tells us.
"As a reward for your help I'm willing to give you what you want most" Pearl tells him.
"I want nothing" he states.
"Katherine" Pearl tells him.
"You wouldn't even know where she was. You've been under the ground for the last century and a half" Damon tells her.
"Katherine and I were best friends long before we came to Mystic Falls, Damon. I know how she thinks, I know her patterns, I know where to find her" Pearl states.
"I've been in contact with her since 1864, I can find her easily" I add.
"I no longer have any desire to see Katherine ever again. And there's no way in hell I'm gonna play the role of your little minion" he tells us.
"I'm not asking for your help Damon" Pearl tells him.
"Finding Katherine was a gesture of kindness" I add.
"The rest is nonnegotiable" Pearl finishes sticking her thumbs into his eyes. "I have four hundred years on you, little boy. And Holly has even more. We'll rip you from limb to limb without even blinking and you know it. I'll be in touch" she states and we leave. "Anna says you have a surprise" she says.
"I do" I say smiling. I lead her to the law office where Jenna is already waiting. "Jenna, glad you could make it. These are my friends Pearl and her daughter Anna" I say introducing them. "Pearl, Anna this is Jenna Sommers" I tell them.
"Of course, Jeremy's friend" Jenna says smiling.
"Nice to meet you miss Sommers" Anna says smiling.
"Oh, Jenna please" Jenna tells her. We walk down the street to the old closed shop. It hasn't been open since 1864. "This property was in my brother in law's family for generations. It's one of the originals structure in Mystic Falls. It used to be one of those old fashioned drugstore thingies" she explains.
"An apothecary" Pearl says looking at the shop recognizing it.
"Yeah" Jenna says smiling.
"You don't say" I say smiling at Pearl and Anna.
"Sorry if it's a little musty" Jenna tells us as we enter the shop. "No one has been here for years" she states.
"I'll use my imagination" Pearl tells her.
"Anna" I call when I see her watching Jeremy.
"I'm coming Holly" she says and enters the shop. We spend the next thirty minutes discussing the price of the shop. Then drew up a contract before Jenna went to the grill.
"Thank you for this Holly" Pearl tells me honestly.
"Anything for an old friend" I tell her. "Remember if you need help controlling the vampires. I'm only a call away" I remind her.
"Don't worry, I can handle them" she assures me. I smile and hug her then Anna. Before going home. Where I start to paint, I haven't painted in years.
"I thought you gave up painting" Mrs Evans says as she gives me a cup of coffee.
"I did, but I felt like painting something from my past" I tell her. She smiles and leaves me to it. I was painting for hours until my phone rang. "Hello" I say when I answer it putting it on speaker phone.
"Two tomb vampires just attacked my brother and I. We killed one" Damon tells me.
"Guess Pearl does need my help after all" I tell him. "I'll give her a call, but make sure nothing happens to Elena" I add. Then hang up and call Pearl. "I hear you lost a vampire" I say.
"A minor set back, but Frederick has learned not to go against me again" she assures me.
"If he does, I'll step in and it won't be pretty" I tell her.
"It won't come to that" she assures me.
"It had better not Pearl" I tell her before hanging up. I then look at my painting. It was a landscape with each member of the original family on it. Along with my mother, oh how I miss her and them. I wonder what Elijah, Rebekah and Klaus are doing now. Something tells me, I'll be seeing them soon.
