S2E27: Kill Or Be Killed

Holly's POV

I'm bored and see a bunch of people at the park so go check it out. I find the sheriff in normal clothes. "Hi Sheriff Forbes, what's going on?" I ask her curious.

"Volunteer picnic for the historical society" she states.

"Sounds fun, I'll go help the Salvatores" I tell her smiling. I then go over to Damon and Stefan who are at the lemonade stand. "Hey boys, how you been?" I ask them.

"He and Elena broke up" Damon states.

"Really? That's a surprise" I say sitting down.

"What were you doing with Mason earlier?" Damon asks Stefan.

"Negotiating peace on your behalf" Stefan states.

"I don't want peace" Damon whines.

"Consider it opposite day" Stefan tells him.

"Stefan, please tell me you don't seriously think a hand shake just solved our problem" Damon says.

"No, actually I think that the first chance Mason Lockwood gets, he's gonna drive a stake through your heart and then through mine, all because you took it upon yourself to try to kill him. So thank you, because we don't have enough problems" Stefan tells him.

"Oh is Katherine causing mischief?" I ask smirking.

"You know she is" Damon retorts.

"And I don't have a problem with it, as long as it doesn't threaten Elena" I tell them.

"Really? You really think Katherine won't harm her?" Stefan asks me.

"Not as long as I'm around and if she does. I'll punish her severely" I state.

"Would you like some lemonade?" a girl asks us.

"No thank you" I tell her wrinkling my nose.

"Thank you sweetie" Damon says taking a cup from her. He drinks lemonade but spits it out and starts coughing. I roll my eyes, vervain can smell it from a mile away.

"What's wrong?" Stefan asks his brother in concern.

"Vervain" Damon chokes out. I give him a bottle of water and he rinses his mouth. "I'm gonna kill him" he states hoarsely.

"Oh can I help?" I ask smirking. It's been a while since I killed a wolf. Though it'd be more entertaining on a full moon, a bigger adrenaline rush.

"Listen to me! Sit!" Stefan says making Damon sit down.

"I'm not listening anymore of your 'give peace a chance' crap. He's dead!" Damon exclaims.

"Okay. I don't like it. He's making threats. He could expose us. We need to put him down" Stefan agrees. "But not you Holly, he threatened Damon and I. We got this" he tells me.

"Fine, don't come crying to me if something goes wrong" I tell them.

"Woods. Trash duty. Come on" Damon tells Stefan we look to see Mason going into the woods. They both follow him and I hear the sheriff on the phone calling for back. So I call Katherine.

"Your werewolf is threatening the Salvatores, exposed them to the sheriff. I'm sure they'll be fine however" I tell her.

"Don't worry, I'll deal with him" she assures me. "But I still need him to find the stone" she adds.

"Fine, but if he threatens Elena. He's dead" I tell her before hanging up. I go to the Salvatore house to wait for the brothers. I'm drinking a blood bag when they return with the sheriff. "Let me guess, something went wrong?" I ask smirking.

"So not in the mood Holly" Damon retorts and takes Liz to the cell as I roll my eyes.

"It was a trap" Stefan tells me.

"Really? I had no idea" I tell him smiling. "You both really have to learn to be more aware. If you had been, you would of heard  the sheriff on the phone calling for back up. And you would of heard them approaching you as you threatened Mason. Better yet you would of smelled the vervain in the Lemonade like I did and not of drank it" I explain.

"I guess that comes with age" he tells me.

"You're walking a thin line Stefan" I tell him. "I trust Damon will compel her to forget once the vervain is out of her system" I say.

"Yes, which won't be for a few days" he states. "Elena and Caroline went to get her somethings" he adds. I nod my head and leave. As I do so I receive a text from Katherine, Mason has the stone and she should have it soon. I smile, everything is falling into place.
