S1E7: Haunted

Holly's POV

Stefan has taken it upon himself to train Vicki in how to be a vampire. I'd do it, but she'd drive me crazy. Damon can't be bothered to train her. Damon and Stefan stopped Vicki from killing her ex last night. Which is good by me as I've thinking of making him my new personal blood bag.

Anyway I'm at the boarding house for a vampire meeting. "I don't understand why I have to stay cooped up here. Why can't I just go home?" Vicki asks in a whining voice.

"Because you're changing, Vicki, and it's not something you wanna do alone" Stefan tells her. While Damon and I read the paper.

"There's nothin' about that Logan guy I killed in here. Not a word" Damon states.

"Someone is obviously covering it up" I state. Damon plays with the vampire compass he stole from Logan. Vicki asks what it is.

"This is a very special, very old compass" Damon states.

"Why did Fell have it though?" I muse out loud.

"Well, if you both are so worried that somebody's onto you, why don't you just leave town?" Stefan asks us.

"We should all be worried" Damon states.

"Not me" I say shrugging and as Stefan gives Vicki a glass of animal blood.

"What is it?" Vicki asks.

"It's what you're craving" Stefan tells her.

"Don't lie to the girl" I tell Stefan.

"It's so not what you're craving, but it'll do in a pinch, right, Stef?" Damon asks smirking

"What is it?" Vicki asks Stefan again.

"Yeah, what is it? Is it a skunk? Saint Bernard? Bambi?" Damon asks.

"Go on try it" Stefan tells her and she tries it.

"She's new. She needs people blood" I tell him.

"I agree, that stuff won't sustain her" Damon adds.

"Yeah, why can't I have people blood?" Vicki asks Stefan eagerly.

"Because it's wrong to pray on innocent people, Vicki" Stefan tells her and I roll my eyes.

"You don't have to kill to feed. Just find someone really tasty and then erase their memory after wards. It's so easy" I tell Vicki. "I could show you" I add smirking.

"No, no, no. There's no guarantee that you can control yourself, okay? It takes years to learn that. You could easily kill somebody, and then you have to carry that with you for the rest of your life, which, if I haven't made clear, is eternity" Stefan tells her.

"Don't listen to him. He walks on a moral plane way out of our eye line. I say snatch, eat, erase" Damon tells Vicki.

"Hey, look at me. We choose our own path. Our values and our actions, they define who we are" Stefan tells her.

"Whatever, I'm bored, see you all later" I say and go out the window. I notice Elena's car in the drive way and stop. She shouldn't be here. But I leave anyway, the boys will protect her from Vicki. If they don't, they're dead.

I go to the grill and Damon soon joins me. We decide to eavesdrop on the mayor and his wife. "We never should have trusted that Logan...weasel with the watch" Mr Lockwood growls.

"How many are we dealing with?" Mrs Lockwood asks him.

"Well, the coroner thinks one. Something about the wound radius and the jaw pattern" Mr Lockwood states. "But he has suspicion that there is another one. However, there isn't enough evidence to be sure" he adds.

"Are we in danger? I mean, if it found the watch, then it knows we know, and could it come after us? A-and should I even be saying "it"? Or...or is it a he or a she?" Mrs Lockwood asks.

"If it has any historical knowledge of the town, then it'll know where the watch came from, so yes, we could very much be in danger" Mr Lockwood tells her.

"So what do we do?" his wife asks him.

"Just keep it quiet. We can't have the entire town aware of this. We need to find it before it finds us" he tells her.

"I think we both need to stick to want you told Vicki from now on" I tell Damon.

"Yes and if we have to get rid of someone, snap their neck" he says quietly. I nod my head. "I'm going back home to see how Stefan is going with the newbie" he says and leaves.

(Halloween party)

I'm at the school dressed as an Egyptian goddess. Damon and Stefan lost Vicki, I have no doubt she'd be here. Halloween is the best time to hunt, especially at a party. I find her with Stefan and she's dressed as a vampire. Honestly how lame can you be, what an insult to vampires.

"What, you're following me now?" Vicki demands as we enter an empty class room.

"You didn't really give us a much of choice" I tell her.

"Let me out of here" she tells us.

"Don't boss me around" I snarl grabbing her neck.

"You shouldn't be here Vicki. Crowds like this, it make it even harder for you to keep yourself under control" Stefan tells her.

"I'm fine" she assures us and I roll my eyes letting her go.

"If you really believe that, you're dumber then I thought" I tell her. We leave the room and are cornered by Elena with Matt. Vicki of course whines to her brother about Stefan annoying her. So while they debated she slipped away.

"She's gone" Elena tells Stefan.

"I'll find her myself" I tell them. But I'm a little late find her as I find her attacking Elena. I grab a piece of broken wood and stab her in the hurt. "I should of done this ages ago" I whisper as Jeremy shout's Vicki's name. Stefan is holding him back.

"I'm going to get them out of here, can you deal with this?" Stefan asks me.

"Yes, I'll call Damon. Just get them out of here, we'll meet you at Elena's"  I tell him. He nods his head and leaves with Jeremy. "You need to go Elena" I tell her after calling Damon.

"People die around you and Damon" she states.

"It doesn't matter" I tell her.

"How could it not matter? It matters, and you know it" she tells me as Damon arrives.

"You need to leave. Your wounds are bleeding and you need to leave" he tells her. And she leaves. Damon and I deal with Vicki's body. We then go to Elena's where Damon wipes Jeremy's memory of the incident and vampires.

We then all go to our separate homes, I had a little snack along the way with Damon. Where he told me about how he'll be joining the council in order to find out more about what they know about us. Only downside, he'd be giving them vervain.
