Holly Evans: The Vampire Diaries

S1E1: Pilot

Holly's POV

When I saw that Stefan had returned to Mystic Falls, I just had to say hi. We hadn't seen each other in a 145 years. So here I am on the doorstep of the Salvatore Boarding house. A human answered the door. "Hello, you must be a relative of Stefan's. He and I are old friends" I tell him smiling flashing my vampire eyes.

"How do you walk in the sun?" he asks me apprehensive.

"My ring" I say holding up my right hand. (Ring: https://www.egovjournal.com/a/2017/04/lapis-lazuli-antique-ring.jpg). "Is Stefan home?" I ask him.

"No, he went to school" he states.

"Then I'll go there, thanks for the help..." I trail off.

"Zach" he says.

"I'm Holly" I say before leaving. I reach the school and follow Stefan's scent to the reception. He was trying to compel the receptionist so I walk forward. "Please look again. I'm sure everything you need for the both of us is there" I tell her compelling her.

"Well, you're right. So it is" she says smiling at me. "Here are your schedules, you have the same classes" she states handing us each a schedule.

"See you in class Stefan" I say smirking before leaving. As I walk through the school I spot a witch. "Hey can you help me? I'm totally lost" I tell her.

"Sure, I'm Bonnie by the way" she says smiling as she looks at my schedule. "We have some of the same classes, including history. I can show you around later and there's a spare seat next to me in history. I can even introduce to my friends" she states.

"Sounds perfect, I'm Holly" I tell her and she leads me to glass.

"Hey do you know the new guy?" she asks me.

"He's name is Stefan, we're old friends" I tell her. "Encase you were wondering, he's single" I add smirking as we enter class. I sit down on the table next to her's and see a doppelganger, that looks just like Katherine. Only with straighter hair and she's human. So the Patrova bloodline did continue, that info may come in handy I note.

As class began I notice Bonnie texting someone. "Once our home state of Virginia joined confederacy in 1861, it created a tremendous amount of tension within the state. People in Virginia's northwest region had different ideals than those from the traditional deep south. Then Virginia divided in 1863 with the northwest region joining the union" Mr Tanner says as I look at the text and smirk.

(After school in the cemetery)

"What are you doing here Holly? I thought you died 145 years ago" Stefan states.

"In the church, I was never in it" I tell him. "I'm older then Katherine and can smell vervain from a mile away. Even in a human's body" I state. "So when I heard vampires were being rounded up, I went into hiding with Emily. After the others died and you turned into a vampire with Damon. I decided to travel" I explain.

"Why are you here now?" he asks me.

"This is one of the only few places I've ever called home in all the years I've been alive. I was passing through when I smelt you and decided to check up on you. I'm surprised Damon isn't with you" I state.

"We haven't really spoken to each other  since we turned. He spends our eternity trying to make my life miserable" he tells me. Just then we heard a voice and he seemed to recognize it.

"I'll leave you alone, we can catch up more later" I tell him before going home. I live in an old farm house, the old lady there. Has known me since she was a little girl. She keeps my secret and allows me to stay. As long as I protect her and her family when they're in town.
