Holly's POV
I'm bored so I decide to pay the Salvatore brothers a visit. I arrive to see them talking to Elena about the guys that attacked them last night. "I still can't believe you made a deal with Pearl" Elena says.
"It was more like a helpful exchange of information. And it's not like I had a choice. She's...scary" Damon tells her. "Besides she has Holly on her side and they're going to help me find Katherine" he adds.
"So you do want to find her" I say smirking and they all look at me surprised. "I came to let you know the vampire responsible has been punished. But if he steps out of line again, I'll intervene" I tell them. "Though Stefan you look terrible, I suggest you feed" I add before leaving.
I go to the grill where I see Tyler and smirk. "Hello Tyler" I say smiling sweetly.
"Holly, long time no see" he says. I then notice the man beside him.
"Tyler, aren't you going to introduce me to your friend" the man says.
"Holly, my father Mayor Lockwood. Dad this is Holly" Tyler says.
"Pleasure to meet you sir" I say smiling politely. Just then I notice Pearl and Anna walking towards us. "Pearl, Anna hi" I say.
"Hey, you're not going out in that, are ya? The roads are dangerous. Route 5 is completely flooded" Mayor Lockwood tells them.
"We'll make do" Pearl assures him.
"Mayor Lockwood, we have your table ready" a waitress calls.
"Mayor...Lockwood, is it?" Pearl asks curious. "I suppose it is treacherous outside. My name is Pearl and this is my daughter Anna. We recently moved into town" she explains.
"They're my aunt and cousin" I lie.
"Welcome" the mayor says smiling charmingly. "Richard Lockwood. This is my son Tyler. Please--please, join us" he tells us.
"If you insist" I say smiling as I link arms with Anna.
"It would be our pleasure" Pearl tells him. The waitress leads us to the mayor's table. Tyler goes to play pool while Richard sits with us. Anna decides to go play darts. "I'm in the process of obtaining some property with Holly's help. I understand that your family is the largest property owner in town" she says.
"Well, yes we are. Dating all the way back to the town's original charter" Richard tells her.
"Your family came into a lot of new property in 1864" I say resting my head on my hands.
"You know your history" he says smiling.
"It was my favourite subject in school" I say sweetly. Just then Jeremy enters the grill and smiles at Anna. Pearl asks the mayor who he was.
"That's Jeremy Gilbert" he tells her.
"You don't say" Pearl says looking at me and I shrug. Suddenly my phone rings and I excuse myself. I go to the bathroom and answer the call.
"Hello Damon, how may I help you?" I ask him.
"The tomb vamps have Stefan and are torturing him. Alaric and I are breaking in to get him back. Unless you want us to kill all the vampires in the house. I suggest you come get them in line" he tells me.
"Stupid fools" I growl. "I'll be there in ten minutes" I tell him. I go outside and leave the grill. I walk through the rain to Miss Gibbins house. As I get closer I smell blood I go to a clearing to see Stefan has killed Frederick. I leave and go to the house. I enter it. "Stop. What's going on here?" I demand.
"Miss Holly" the tomb vamps says backing away from Damon and Alaric. I smile in satisfaction, they know better then to cross a vampire as old as me.
"Your friend Pearl's merry little band of vampires spent the day torturing my brother" Damon retorts.
"I know, trust me those responsible will be punished" I assure him.
"Our little arrangement doesn't work unless Pearl or you learn to control them" he reminds me.
"Don't worry, with me around. They won't step out of line again" I assure him glaring at the vampires.
"If I had a good side...Not a way to get on it" he tells me. Then he and Alaric leave. I turn to the vampires.
"You all have disgraced Pearl and I, by making us break our promise to the Salvatore brothers. Now what are we going to do about that?" I ask the group.
"Please Miss Holly, we won't do it again" one of them says.
"He's right, we promise to behave from now on" another states.
"To late, all but Harper are to be out of town by night fall. If you ever return here, you'll pay for it with your lives" I tell them. They bow their heads agreeing and Pearl returns home with Anna. I tell what happened and she agrees with my punishment. I go home and my phone rings.
"Hello grandmother" Katherine says when I answer it.
"You know I hate it when you call me that" I remind her.
"I know, but I thought you should know I'm returning to town soon. Along with Isobel" she tells me sweetly.
"Now that is good news. I've missed my nieces" I tell her.
"I'm sure you've been keeping yourself occupied with Elena" she states.
"True, but she won't ever replace either of you. All three of you are important to me and I'd do anything to protect you three" I tell her.
"I know" she says. "But I want to be free Holly and there's only one way to do that" she tells me.
"I know, it'll be hard though" I tell her gently. I don't want to see my last living relative die along with my bloodline. But I'll never go against the originals orders. Me keeping a secret from them and deliberately defying them are two very different things. "I look forward to your arrival" I tell her. We say our goodbyes and hang up.
