chapter 38: sleeping in the snow

Emelia's P.O.V

we stayed really quiet waiting to hear something that could at least give us a clue to what it was but all we heard was our own breathing. few more minutes passed and we finally heard movements from upstairs.

Cece:"I have an idea."

she says, she snaps her fingers making the whole house start to snow. melody holds out her hands as she started catching snow Flakes. I felt the temperature drop as we looked at her confused to why she did that.

Cece:"With this snow, we could see the things footsteps letting us know where it is."

we understood the reason and continued being quiet.

Melody's P.O.V

few hours passed and we ended up falling asleep. I slowly open my eyes and see everyone fast asleep. I was in between mom and dad as they slept with their arms around me keeping me warm. I yawn and decide to keep sleeping as I close my eyes but then i hear glass shatter. I sit up straight waiting to find something but it was clear. I wait and wait then I finally see steps on the snow coming towards me. i start panicking and try waking up my dad but got nothing. the steps were about 1 inch away from me as I screamed with all my might and felt hands on my feet. I screamed and screamed as everyone woke up alerted.

Gerard:"Melody what's wrong?!"

Melody:"I felt hands on my feet! I swear someone is in here!"

I said, dad hugged me tightly as mom caressed me while Cece runs over to the lamp and turns it on revealing the steps on the snow.

Gerard:"It's ok, it's ok, it's ok, they're gone now."

I started to calm down as I started feeling warm again and fell to sleep in his arms.

I woke up again to see everyone sleeping also. it was 3 in the morning as I heard creaking throughout the house. I look over at my dad but then a voice began talking to me.

"Don't think about waking them up."

I look over to blackheart and find him asleep on the couch with no one next to him. I quickly ran over to him and cuddled like a ball next to him...although I regret it. from here, I got a better view at the hallway and let me tell you this...Not cool! i closed my eyes and then opened them again and did the same thing over again. closed, opened, saw nothing. closed, open and I screamed as loud as I could but my mouth was covered with his black long fingers and sharp nails.
