Melody's P.O.V

I woke up in my room. that's weird, wasn't I down stairs? my room was dark as light shined from under the door. I looked around and found nothing that made me scream for help. it all looked normal. my only question was, why? I know this isn't a dream. everything looked real. I got out of bed and took small steps as I reached the door and put my hand on the door knob.

I opened it and found all the lights in my house on and I heard glasses clicking and laughter. I'm assuming it was from my dad and his friends. I walked down stairs and find them drinking champagne on the dinning table. before they spotted me, my mom spotted me as she put her hand on my shoulder. i gasped and turned around making eye contact with her.

Emelia:"Oh you're finally awake! come on, I'm making a special treat."

she said as she pulled my arm and we made our way to the kitchen. everything looked different. the whole house looked even more fancy than usual and that scared me. it's so hot in here. she let go of my hand and went over to the pot boiling on the stove and tried a spoon full. and as for me, I made my way towards the window to open and get fresh air. I put my hands on it, ready to open but my mom stopped me by pulling my arm.

Emelia:"What do you think you're doing?"

Melody:"I needed fresh air."

Emelia:"Melanie do you remember the rules in this house?"

Melody:"Melanie? my name is Melody"

Emelia:"In this house, it's Melanie. now do you remember the rules or do we need your father to repeat them?"

this was all wrong. mom never called me melanie and my house was never this fancy. in fact, there was never any rules well...except for not opening the door to strangers. I was silent. I didn't know what to say to her so she called for dad.

Emelia:"Gerard, Melanie needs to hear the rules again!"

She yelled as she went back to the cooking pot. I hear footsteps coming towards the kitchen as my palms felt sweaty. what if the rules involved hitting? I can't bare with that. my dad showed up in the kitchen, white short hair wearing his black parade outfit. I was confused, why is he wearing that? I thought his band broke up. he walked towards me and put his glass of champagne on the table and picked me up.

Gerard:"Rule 1: Never talk with your mouth full.

Rule 2: never trust any body except for me or your mother.

Rule 3: don't use sharp things.

Rule 4: No yelling.

And the most important one.

...

Rule 5: don't ever. and I mean never. never ever open the doors or Windows."

he said he patted my nose with his index finger and kissed my forehead and he put me back down on the floor and continued drinking his champagne.

Melody:"Why can't I open them?"

Emelia:"Its too dangerous out there. there has been terrible monsters outside this house and we need you protected."

Melody: "But don't you think this house deserves some air? it's really hot and suffocated."

Emelia:"Melody, I don't want to hear it anymore."

I sighed and walked over to the living room. I sat on the couch and turned on the tv to watch cartoons. but as soon as I turned it on, everything was different also. I put on the fairly odd parents tv show and the color was different, even the graphics. it looked neon and 3D.

I changed the channel and found the grudge movie. she was attacking a woman and stopped. she starred directly at the screen as if she was starring at me. she started crawling directly at the screen and I see her stepping out of the tv! I screamed as my dad- I mean Gerard, rushed over and stabbed the paranormal girl in her back.

Gerard: "Forgot one rule. don't not watch scary movies. otherwise this could happen."

I nodded while still feeling scared and ran up to him to hug him. I close my eyes as i hugged him tightly but then I felt something poking my shoulder. I open my eyes to find a tail with the end shaped as an arrow. I look up and find myself hugging the devil.
