chapter 16: a family moment

Emelia's P.O.V

I had three cuts a long my arm, the last time I did this I probably had 50 or more cuts on my arms and legs, I started on my 4rth cut and viewed the dark liquid fall to the floor. I began to sob until I heard Gerard's voice.

Gerard:"Em where are you?"

I hear him call from downstairs. no Em, he ran away with melody! this is just in your head. oh shut up brain! I continued with my thoughts until I hear footsteps in our bedroom.

Gerard:"Em are you in here?"

he says, he tried twisted the bathroom door knob but thank god I locked it.

Emelia:"uh yea I'm in here..."

Gerard:"are you ok?"

Emelia:"yea I'm fine, just doing my morning routine."

Gerard:"ok, meet me downstairs."

Emelia:"ok."

I said and I'm assuming he left. I turned on the sink and ran my arms under the water, it was freezing cold but I had to do something.

the blood cleared away but I still had the cuts there and it was semi bleeding, I opened up our mirror and took out a first aid kit. I wrapped a bandage/cloth around my arms and put tape.

I put the first aid kit back in the mirror and dressed for the day. I put on some white skinny jeans and a gray sweatshirt to hide the bandages, then I wrapped my hair into a pony tail. I sighed and the headed downstairs finding melody already bigger. get hair was up to her shoulders, and already had a tooth coming in.

I went downstairs and I hugged her tightly.

melody:"mommy, daddy fixed my hair. do you like it, do you like it! please say you like it."

Emelia:*giggles* "I love it sweetie!"

melody:"thank you mommy, I love it too!! so does daddy!"

Gerard:"yup."

he says as he picks her up and sounds her around and she starts laughing. I gave them a small smile and Gerard noticed something was up.

Gerard:"sugar, why don't you go upstairs and play with Snoopy. daddy is gonna have a chat with mommy."

melody:"is mommy in trouble daddy?"

Gerard:"no of course not. she just needs some cheering up."

he says as kisses her forehead and she smiles then walks up stairs but then stops and turns around.

melody:"will you be okay mommy?"

Emelia:"yea honey, I'll be fine, I'll meet you in a bit."

I said, she nods and then walks up stairs. we hear the door close and I put my hand on my forehead as tears rolled down my face and I took a seat on the couch.

Gerard:"you wanna tell me what's going on?"

Emelia:"I had this dream...I was talking to my...mom...she told Me everything that I didn't wanna hear...I just found out that there not my real parents and that my dad Is the devil."

he takes a seat next to me and placed his arm around me. I sighed and continued.

Emelia:"then blackheart came...he told me that my mom's story was true...he started telling me lies about you and melody...he told me that melody is gonna grow up disliking me and that she's gonna wanna run away with you and that you would agree...he said that when I wake up this morning...you two would be gone...I woke up and he was right...G I did something that I regret."

I said and started sobbing, he started shh me as he ran his hand up and Down on my shoulder.

Gerard:"what did you do?"

I sighed and rolled up my arm revealing the bad that was stained from the blood. I started to sob again and he hugged me tightly.

Gerard:"don't worry. we're gonna get thro this...I promise. shhh don't cry baby."

*Em sobbing*

melody:"mommy?"

she says, we both turn around and she had a tear falling from her right eye as she holded her pink teddy bear. Gerard held out his arm and she came running towards us to hug us. me and melody were both in tears as we all began to hug each other.
