No matter how you said it. No matter how you explained it. The true beauty of the place could only truly be taken in at its fullest glory in person.
Serenity still couldn't believe she was there. And she had been there (in our time) a month. Although she could make it a day, a week, a year, she choose a month. Kind of like a 31-day free trial (even though the concept of time didn't really exist in their world).
She experienced it though. A month of it.
And whatever it was.
It was magical. Nothing no one else would discover.
One that you would hope someday, Some day every soon everyone would have a chance to discover it, but that dream would never happen, so it's just a far distant dream.
A final resting moment.
And then just like that it was over. The month had come and gone. The time spent was just another memory. Serenity said her final goodbyes and went back to her own time.
Even though her mother begged her to stay she knew she had to go back. Even though the connection between them had been severed she still missed him dearly.
