"Luca, what are you doing here?" Voices chirped, making me rub my head furiously. I groaned, guiding my hand over my eyes to veer away from the sun. Kids crowded us like we were the big surprise rather than their stacks of presents. Before they even began to wander over to their towers of Christmas gifts Santa had left them, they just had to ask why he was here. And it was my job to come up with the unsuspecting answer.
"He's my present... Santa brought him for me". I said as the kids nodded, their attention turned towards their presents. That answer seemed to be good for them, as I sighed. Another Christmas Disaster Averted. I leaned back against Luca's chest as I heaved, feeling his comfort under me.
"Close one Bella". He hushedly spoke, laughing softly as I brushed him off, getting up slowly out of the cramped sleeping bag. There was only so much room and he didn't even bring his own sleeping bag. Halfway into the night I begged him to sleep in his car, but he wouldn't give in.
I had to sleep on top of him, my ass rubbing against him every time I moved and we both knew I was an avid sleeper. He was hard throughout the night and due to that I was about to forget where I was for the night. It was uncomfortable for us both, and I didn't need to be begging for him to fuck me in front of these little kids.
"Santa ate all the cookies". Jasmine pointed out, looking at the table, finished off with a clean glass that was once milk, but now it was empty and it seemed to be washed. Santa learned from the best, he cleaned up after himself, good man. I grinned at Luca as he shrugged his shoulders, smiling.
"Everyone open your presents, carefully." I said in a tame voice as I heard the rustle from the bags as sounds of enjoyment and surprise escaped the kids mouths. Luca slowly got out of the sleeping bag, and he looked well rested, like sleeping with the floor beneath him was comfortable.
His hands wrapped around me, as I marveled at the kids, the smiles on their faces and I knew it wasn't even the presents, it was the thought that they were kids, and that Santa came for them too. Sometimes kids that experience so much need reminders that they're just kids.
"Look at their smiles". I whispered into his ear as his hands pulled me closer to him. His breath was heavy as I felt his heart beating against my chest. The sound of his breathing rocked me away, as he latched onto me. I looked up at his eyes, wanting him to see, to recognize the impact of how much he had impacted these kids' lives in more ways than just once.
Money was so useless to him, he had enough of it to throw around, but seeing it have such a large impact in someone else's lives was astronomical. Money to someone else can change their lives, such a small amount can make such a change.
"All thanks to you". I said, hoping he understood my appreciation and he looked at me like I was lying to him and to myself.
"You did much more than me, you arranged for all of these gifts, I just wrote a check and signed". He said, and I knew he was right, I contributed but he contributed so much more, he gave away money he had worked hard to earn.
"That's your money, you earned it after every game you played, every day of training, you earned that". I said, trying to make him find value in his money, but he seemingly shook his head.
"Stop trying to belittle how much you did, you needed my money yes, but without it you would be fine, without you these kids wouldn't have Christmas. You are a Christmas Angel Cara Mia.". He whispered sweetly, his words coming out like he wanted me to find value in the work I did. The work I loved.
"If you call me that I'll kill you". I held myself steady against his arms as he moved his head into the cradle of my neck, layering kisses as he laughed.
