"Fuck". I said, pulling Ally out with me and to the driver in the back of the club. I told him Luca's address, like it was ingrained in my brain as I regretted that message so much. I regretted every time I called him. Every reason why I thought tonight would be a good idea to get plastered.
I called Layla, worried I might interrupt her but I needed to know. She answered the phone annoyed, and the heavy breathing signaled me into something.
"Is Luca home?" I asked, panicky as I looked at the roads, calculating with my now sobered mind from all the rush of this.
"Why are you asking me?" She asked, annoyed but I needed to know. He couldn't ever listen to the message.
"I left him a bad voicemail and I need to delete it". I said, as she let out a laugh, all too familiar to the guy I had made the mistake with in the first place.
"Lucky for you, he's at the gym in his building". She said, and I knew what that meant. He hated not having a place for his things so he always leaves his phone up in his room.
"Thank you so much.". I said, as she took it as a nod that her services were no longer needed and hung up the line.
"We just have to delete it before he gets out of the gym". I said, as we pulled into his penthouse's garage. I hadn't been back since I had left that fateful day, leaving with my bags in hand and tears rolling down my eyes. But it was different now, I was coming to avoid that heartbreak all over again.
Ally and I climbed out of the car, shutting the door as the car took off and I sighed, knowing now we would need to take a cab home. I opened the door, hoping they wouldn't send us home. I waved over to my favorite security guard, Sal as he walked over to me with a grand smile over his face.
"I haven't seen you in such a long time, where have you been?" He asked, and I wasn't sure the route to fixing this was, but this security guard loved me.
"Luca and I broke up". I admitted as a sense of sadness escaped his face."I'm sorry to hear that. To be honest he has been looking rather sad lately, I think he misses you and that boy". He said, softly, and I hoped this sadness that had now peaked in him would help us get into his house and delete the message.
"I need a favor, Sal". I said, and he looked taken back with my request.
"I sent Luca, a rather embarrassing voicemail and I-I well I need to delete it before he sees it, because I broke up with him and if he hears it he won't be able to move on and oh it's a mess Sal". I groaned, hoping my truth would allow him to take us upstairs and to unlock the door and delete the message before he ever realized it was there.
"I don't know Miss Sorrento...". He said, hesitant on allowing us up and into the room.
"Please Sal... I can't break his heart". I begged Sal to let me up, and he seemed won over.
"I can take you up, but you have to be quick". Sal gave in allowing us into the elevator and taking us up to the penthouse floor.
"What did you say in the message?" Sal asked, and I was about to tell him about how I declared my love for him in the most appropriate way possible. But Ally beat me to it.
"That she wanted him badly, like over and over and over again". Ally explained, exaggerating every word she said.
"It wasn't that bad". I tried covering it up as the bell dinged and Sal flashed his card.
"Mr. Manson did say that if you came by for any reason to let you in, so I am doing what he asked". Sal admitted as I stepped into the apartment, breathing in a place I had called home for so long. His admission surprised me, I knew Luca wanted me back, but to say it to Sal meant that he expected me to come back.
