He was the inventor of tension, this stone cold, heart wrenching tension was all thanks to him as his eyes darted against me.
His eyes pulled me in, after so many years I had never imagined staring into those intense eyes again. He was supposed to be history, yet he stood in front of me.
The tension thickened as I stepped forward into his atmosphere, his sapphire gems aligned with mine stuck in a haze.
A grin illuminated his face, and his eyes were directed towards me in a slip that made my heart jump.
Luca Manson, stood 30ft away as he stood there smirking at the sight of me falling apart, there's the man I had fallen in love with and lost my virginity too, 7 years ago.
His jawbone became stronger as his eyes pierced mine and he moved closer. Our eyes were locked in a shared gaze and as he explored the depths beneath my eyes I broke away, feeling the tug at my dress.
My silky dress was placed back against my skin, and I looked down at the sheer material, I felt naked and exposed in front of the one man who had seen me naked.
"Can I go to the car, please?", I insisted, as I tugged at Ally's purse, like a small kid wanting to hide. Just how I used to do when he tormented me, I would hide in the janitor's closet, in the bathroom. I was terrified of the pranks, the supposed jokes that they would play on me.
I tugged further as my eyes wandered back to him and he saw he was making me uncomfortable, he was here, he was real and after all this time I couldn't go on a pity date with him.
I pulled her back and Luca, watched me with peering eyes. The same eyes he had starred into at prom night that he had told me that he would love me until the stars fell from the midnight sky.
"Stay, please... he's hot, he looks interested in you", she glanced over at him and for someone who didn't acquire his confidence at a young age, would see the situation as awkward. But he stood with his smirk, still staring.
She pulled away before I could tell her the real reason, he was the one who made me fear love, a single night had changed my life and my future unknowingly. The real reason he was looking over at me like he 'was interested' was to dwell in my uncomfortable feeling, to dwell in the memories we created together. He probably regretted it too.
"Carina, this is Allen, Allen this is Carina", Ally swiftly intervened from the pressure Luca and I's eyes had caused on one another. Luca said the last of my name and it rolled off his tongue, ever so smoothly. I felt my hand being gripped by Ally, as she pulled me towards the crowd and even closer to him. My eyes glancing onto him were dodging bullets hoping my stare wouldn't cause a ruckus.
Ally was the only oblivious one, to this cold and confused gaze between Luca and I. Allen slowly caught on, but he kept silent as Ally talked against the loud music. Luca's eyes were louder than music, his gaze said more than the words Ally were shouting, his gaze said more than could ever be spoken.
Luca let his eyes blink and quickly looked away from the anxious and rambunctious mess he had left me in.
Allen's eyes were left on me, and his eyes said something that he had been tempted to end this tuneless gaze between Luca and I. I looked away from his stare and I couldn't explain how much the red door appealed to me in that very moment.
