MILES POV
I just sat down to have a late lunch when I heard a scream and curse words. Since I'm not just a ordinary human but a hunter. I have enhanced senses, I can't shift or run as fast as a vampire, that's why I can hear werewolves calling out to each other a mile and a half away.
I put my already made sandwich in the fridge, grab my gun with silver bullets and head out to see what was caught in my traps.
When I was getting closer, I smelt a familiar scent, it's the scent of alpha blood. I better be careful but why would an alpha be here? Only one way to find out.
When I'm only a few feet away, I clear the thick fog away and see not an alpha but the Lockwood kid whose the heir to the alpha spot. Great, this is going to be more tiring then I thought. I wish I could just kill him and whoever else came with him, but I can't. His friends probably came with him and are caught in some other traps I set up.
"Who's there?!" The kid growled. I just want to punch him.
"Relax ki- Zane, it's Miles Black your teacher. I'm going to release you from up there. But before I release you, tell me why did you trespass onto my property?" He flinches at the tone of my voice as I circle around him.
"I heard that you are the one that Tasha talked to the most." He mumbles.
Before he knows it I cut the net down and have him pinned on the ground. I have my knee pressing all my weight down between his shoulder blades and an arm twisted behind his back.
"WHAT do you know about her?!" I ask furious. That is when the brat snarls and partially transforms by flipping us over. He's sitting on my stomach as I'm laying on the ground with a silver knife against his neck and his one hand instead of fingers there's claws ready to pierce into my chest. Then I notice his other arm is broken but is slowly healing, going back to it's normal structure.
"What do YOU know about her?" He snarls at me.
"More than you do I bet. Otherwise you wouldn't be here, would you? Now how about we put our sharp toys away and hear each other out?" I watch his eyes as they go back to their normal color. Soon after he gets off of me and gives me his hand to help me up.
"Sorry teacher, my lycan can get a bit over protective now. She is just different and many strange things have happened since she appeared."
"Humph, are you sure its not because the school has allowed rogues into the school? Why would you blame it on her? And have you asked that half witch of yours what is going to happen?" I look at him and see his clueless face. "Or she hasn't told you has she?" I laugh, so she really is an inexperienced half witch.
"Ok first, the school year didn't just start so the rogues had plenty of time to do something-
"I'll stop you right there kid. In some cases, that may be true but not for these rogues. They are smarter then you think and stronger then they seem. Plus, more appear everyday, they didn't do anything because they are smart. They are waiting for the right opportunity to strike and they started phase one of their plan by attacking the pack house that night."
"How do you know about that?!"
"Let's go get your friends first, there's someone who you need to meet." I smirk and start walking towards the second victim of my traps.
He catches up to me I watch him as he squints his eyes to see through the thick fog. "How can you see through tis fog?" He questions.
"I'm the one who made it and there is no inventor that can't find his way out of his own creation."
"I see, so the fog confuses your sense of direction." Little brat, you can figure things out on your own.
"Yes, I made it that way for a specific reason." Haha, he looks at me like I'm going to say that reason.
"Fine, just show me where my friends are." He crosses his arms. Does he realize that I could just leave him in this fog forever?
First we reach Mason Moore, the future second ranking wolf in the Moonstone pack of wolves. This is a nasty one, he stepped in a bear trap that I laced with silver. He lost a lot of blood already and he's still trying to get the trap open. What great strength.
"Zane is that a teacher? The one we've been looking for?" He whispers but with enhanced hearing its kind of hard not to hear what he's saying.
"Yes, this is Miles Black." He whispers back.
I reach down and release him from the trap. He stumbles a little and Zane gives him a hand.
"I'm fine!" Mason says and Zane let's go of him.
Then we head towards Nathan Bande, I knew he was a quiet one but his face is as expressionless as ever. Even when I released him from the bear trap, his face never changed. I bet if he was burning alive his face would still be blank as it is now. Now onto where his last friend is, the half witch. Also the sister to Mason Moore.
Now that she is also released, they follow me to my house but I'm not bringing them in my house, the answers they want, I cannot give but she can.
"This is your house?!" The half witch asks surprised.
"Yes, this house has been passed down by my family for generations." I proudly say a little something about my family history. It is a big ugly house that may look haunted at night but it is gorgeous inside. I just don't have the time to fix up the outside right now.
"Wow, you have always lived here? Ever since childhood?" She asks again
"Mostly, yes I did move out for a few years before I started teaching at your school." I had to come back when I heard she got out.
We walk around my house and as we walk a bit farther a small dark blue shed appears. It looks like all four of us won't fit in it but there is plenty of space inside thanks to her abilities.
"Let's go in now." I motion them to go in one by one and they are surpirsed its bigger then expected when you walk in.
"Come sit, I've been waiting for all of you." A croaky yet soft voice says from behind a curtian not far away. Nathan opens it and we all go in and see a woman wearing a fancy dress and a veil over her face so we are only able to see her mouth.
"Who is she?" Mason asks.
"Everyone, meet the Elder Seer, one of the very few left in this world. She is the one, you want to ask the questions to."
"A Seer? What's-?"
"I thought the Seer would be male"
"There are many things you don't know of the world yet, hybrid. But first have a seat everyone" The elder seer says.
