TIKI POV

It's been a couple days since Carlos mentioned that I should go to school and honestly he does have a good point. But that doesn't mean I have been friendly towards him, so ever since he has been trying to make it up to me.

So now I'm on my way to him, he's been gone of the past few days we've been here, he doesn't tell me what he goes and I don't really care either. He did tell me yesterday he found a very beautiful view in The Woods and would like to show me sometime.

I'm tracking his scent right now since that's pretty much the only thing I am good at is tracking. I can hear and feeling animals going about in the forest so I following those ways for tracking prey, I don't really use my nose.  If I use my nose, I'll smell too many useless things as far as 5 miles.

I move a branch out of my way and come to a small clearing on a cliff and sitting there is Carlos. Dangling his legs over the ledge and whistling, he pats the grass next to him sensing I was here. I sit down next to him and I start explaining.

"You're right, I should go to school for more clues the way experiment #246 did. Maybe a book or note or something was left there if anyone was able to escape. Or it could be a dead end who knows right?" I watch him as he doesn't take his eyes off the sunset getting impatient.

"It's good to know I'm right" I glare at him for that's all he says. "Come on, I can get you your school stuff and enrolled tomorrow."

I wonder how he's going to do that but I don't ask. We sit there watching the sunset for a little longer not saying anything to each other, just in each other's space in peace.

THE NEXT MORNING

I wake up in dirty bed and sense there is no one around, which means Carlos probably gone off getting school stuff for me and whatever else he does here. I head to the kitchen area and spot a piece of paper on the counter with writing on it. I pick it up and read:

Come to the place we were at last night. -Carlos

That sounds romantic right?  No, now that I read it again...is it an order?!! Then I look under his name and see he does know me still.

Please?

I hate being ordered around, Carlos learned the hard way so now he asks me in a sort of ordering way because he knows I don't refuse him then. I move over the stove that has scrambled eggs in a pan on it. It may be cold but Carlos is really good at cooking. I grab the handle of the pan and lift it when it broke right where it connects to the circular metal. I told Carlos to use the other one but he doesn't. I look to see if my scrambled eggs are still okay but I don't see them anywhere until I look between my feet and frown.

'Let's hunt for breakfast' Sasha suggested.

'Sasha you know I'm not comfortable with shifting anywhere right now.' I tell Sasha and she knows it by staying silent after that.

I am really tempted to throw the pan and it's handle out the window right about now but advise against it when I realize Carlos will just find it and bring it back. I set both pieces on the stove and head to the cliff.

Once I get there a older man who looks familiar is waiting for me, holding a backpack with a smile on his face.

I freeze and search the area for anything unexpected and escape routes.  When I turn my eyes back on him he starts laughing at me and that's when I notice it's just Carlos.  He aged himself to be older, right around 40.

"Thanks". I mumbled when he gave me the backpack.

"You should've seen your face! Oh-oof!"  I pinched him in the side of his ribs.  "Ouch,  sorry sorry."  He pleads quickly.

"Shut up and explain."  He smirks at me.

"What do you want me to do?  Shut up or explain?"  I glare at him and he drops his smirk right away.

"Ok ok.  I enrolled you into the school as your uncle and your name is Tasha Maples. There also shouldn't be too much attention of how different we look."  I nod, good idea.  "And if we hurry there right now, you will make it to your first class."  My stomach growls, but Carlos doesn't question it.  "We can get something on the way."

"Also, it's neutral territory so rogues at our age are welcomed for a change of life if they want education."  I nod again as he begins to shift.

"One more thing, it's a big school so there will be a few different packs and alphas so stay away from them.  You'll know who the alphas are by their presence."  That's all the time he has to say before he's completely shifted into his Royal green dragon form.

Zayrreth leans his wing down so I can climb on his back.  Just before take off Rukas comes out in front of us.

"Hey, I just wanted to tell you what books you should look for first."  I still don't know anything about him so I don't trust him but Carlos does.  He's too trustworthy.  Idiot.

"The first one is History of the Werewolves.  That books tells you of the very beginning of everything of Supernaturals.  The second is Culture of Supernaturals and third is Superiors of the Unknown.  That's all I know of what Asher told me."  I stare at him not saying anything until Zayrreth looks at me to say something.

"The dragon says thanks". I say monotonously towards him. He just smiles like he knows something. I roll my eyes and we take off.

We arrive at the edge of The Woods across the field from the school. Still hidden in the trees though. Carlos shifts and stares at me irritated.

I roll my eyes, "Just because you like him, doesn't mean I have to."

"I know Tiki but give him some slack he's helped us a lot." He hasn't really, just gave us permission to stay at the old cabin and what books to look at first. I'd say that's not a lot.

"I'll give him slack when I want Carlos." He sighs but agrees.

"I know, you're so stubborn." There's a pause after that until he breaks it.

"Have a great very first day of school!" And here I come as Tasha Maples.
