Chapter 29- Wings

ZANE POV

We finish off destroying the monster robots and then heard a loud screeching sound and find the lizard that now has wings fighting with Tasha.

"Alpha? Should we help her?" Brian, one of my best warriors asks.

"I will, get the wounded and others to safety first. If I'm not back by then, get back here as fast as you can." I order him and he nods then leaves. When I was just about to charge, he grabs Tasha's arm and leaps in the air.

I focus my vision on them as he is going higher and higher in the sky, I'd say they are about 100 yards in mid air when Tasha starts fighting. I can hear their muffled yelling so I focus my hearing on them too and listen.

"What are you doing?! Do you want to get yourself killed?!" That is a deeper voice so I'm guessing its the lizard who spoke.

"You know very well that this fall won't kill me." My beast just purred at that voice, it sounded so evil and dark. Was that really Tasha's voice?

"Maybe, but you would be close to death." The lizard says. What the? How would she not die from being that high up in the air to down to solid ground? Is she not a werewolf?

"Mate is werewolf...and something else"

"A hybrid? Of what though? There hasn't been any hybrids in centuries." I wonder and look back up at the fight above me.

Tasha swings and lifts her body upward and kicks the lizard in the face. Giving her enough time to grab onto his wing whip him in the air. He lets go for a moment but regrips her at the wrist then grabs her other wrist.

"You are so going to pay for that!" He chuckles darkly with a smirk on his face he twists her wrists and she roars. She literally just roared in anger.

ROOOOAAAAARRRRR!

Holy sh*t

"Oh sh*t"

I thought and the lizard said. Whatever made that roar, can be mistaken as a earthquake.

"You are so screwed now" Tasha laughs and the fear in the lizard's eyes can be easily seen. Tasha lifts up again and kicks him the stomach, this time he let's go but he recovers quickly and goes after her.

ROOOOAAAARRRRRR!

There it is again and the lizard wavers, like he's hesitating whether or not it is worth it getting Tasha. Just then Brian, Luke and some other warriors came out and are rushing towards me.

"It's a DRAGON!!" Brian yells and another earth shaking roar is heard. This time all of us stumbling, some falling down from the trembling ground. Then it appeared, from the top of The Woods tallest trees.

I've never seen a dragon before and I never thought it would be this big. It opens it mouth towards the lizard and Tasha and blazing hot fire pours out of its mouth. Even though I am about 100 yards away from the fire I can still feel the heat. How is it so hot?

The flames engulf the lizard and Tasha and I felt a flicker of fear inside me but when the flames vanished, only the lizard was burning and Tasha was grinning like mad. That's when I was her tattoo on three squiggle lines glow blue then fade off like its a normal tattoo.

It all happened at once then, Tasha hits the ground hard, making a small equator, the lizard making cracks where it hits ground and fire still burning his body with him screaming in pain and the dragon landing in front of Tasha and shifting to a human boy.

When I try getting close to her, he growls and raises his hand and flames come from the air and shoot right towards me. I nearly dodge it and growl which is followed by other growls behind me. Brian does a hand signal and the wolves start circling the dragon and Tasha.

The boy growls again and watches every wolf slowly as if they are a dangerous threat. They growl back thinking he is a threat to a lone she wolf that needs medical attention immediately.

"Hey, dragon!" I yell to get his attention and he turns around showing me bright gold eyes with slitted pupils. "Tasha needs medical attention right away, she hasn't moved since she fell!" I mean she did just fall like 100 yards, so would make since to get her to a hospital or something.

"A Lycan? I thought my kind got rid of your kind years ago" a very deep voice comes from the boy and hisses.

Drax suddenly got very hostile and roars, "I will kill you, dragon!!" He tries taking over, but I keep resisting him. "Let me out now!" he yells at me in my mind which gives me a headache.

"Careful lycan if you try too hard, your human will suffer the consequences." The dragon says calmly, but I know he is enjoying this. Soon enough Drax quits trying and I feel much better and go back to glaring and watching Tasha.

"If she isn't moving don't you think that means she is dead?!" He grins then smirks at me.

I growl out, "She isn't dead! I know she isn't!" He smirks and nods his head. "I know what you are now...lycan, I just had to confirm it. You're her mate, aren't you?" My warriors all look at me for confirmation and I just let out a low growl hoping my glare will kill the dragon.

"Is it true Alpha?" Luke asks and I turn my head to the left and nod.

There was a suddenly moan and everyone looks at Tasha to see her move a little. The dragon kneels down next by the side of Tasha and the flames lower a few feet, just enough for us to jump over them.

"Protect the Luna!" Luke shouts and they all attack at once, some shifting and jumping over or some staying human. The boy growls and stretches his arm to the ground and lifts it up above his hand and the ground shakes in front of him and shifts upward then towards my warriors.

"Did he just control earth?" Luke comes up next to me asking the obvious question. The ground shoves my warriors far away though the flames and I hear their whimpers of pain. They shake it off right away and jump back over the flames and attack again. This time the dragon grew wings and flapped them towards the wolves and blew them back. This time they were a little bit slower getting up, but waited for my signal to attack.
