Tiki POV

I stand still staring at the eyes of a dragon- no a Royal dragon's eyes.  I can feel my fingers aching for claws to come out but I can't hurt him.  For some reason I don't want to no matter how much I want to right now.  I know I would never forgive myself if I hurt him.

So I stay calm and decide to talk to him.
"Carlos, I know you're in there.  And I remember- spew!  Before I can finish a bunch of water comes rushing at his face.  I look in the direction of where the water came from and see nothing.

I can feel a presence of another being in here.  Strange...  then I felt something wet and slimy crawl up my leg and look to find a glowing blue creature.

Jesus what is that?!  It crawls all the way up to my shoulder and perches itself there, purring.

"WHAT THE HELL?!"  Carlos yells spurting water out of his mouth, shaking his head and running his hand through his wet messy hair.

"Uhh..." I don't know if I should freak out that there is a water creature on my shoulder or be happy that Carlos is back.

Carlos stands up and stalks towards me when another rush of water passes my face and hits Carlos again.  This time soaking his shirt.

I crack the smallest of small side smile when I see his face filled with anger.  But I see no signs of glowing eyes anywhere.  That's good, heh.  I think I like this little guy on my shoulder.

Carlos takes off his shirt and rings it out with his hands then lays it by the fire.  Then I look at him-he's half naked.  Surprisedly really good looking, with a broad chest and muscles on his arms.

Then I notice the scars.  Scars, a horrible way to remember the bad things in your past.  Even if they are good, fun memories or bad and unforgivable memories.  I know I font have any good memories coming from my scars.  I have one going from my hip across my stomach to my chest all the way to end at the top of my shoulder.  And I also have a two set of scars from an injection scientists did to me, it was the worst pain I have ever felt.  Well now second because of what happened a few days ago.

I snap out of it and study Carlos' form and see scars all over his body, some are permanent and you can tell which ones are capable of going away eventually.  It takes a lot to give dragons scars, I wonder what happened to him.

The one that stands out most is the one on his chest, two pink scars formed to cross each other like a X.

"Like what you see?"  He asks amused.

"I don't know". I answer with a frown and he frowns.

His eyes shift to the creature on my shoulder.

" you have to get rid of that thing Tiki". Carlos orders.

"Why?  Your not the boss of me!  Also I wouldn't listen to you anyway since you lost to a water creature-".

"Shut up". He snaps.

"Why?  Who would have thought a mighty Royal dragon against a measly little creature like this".  I gesture to it a little nod.

He growls lowly then freezes.

"How do you know?"  He asks hesitantly.

"Your eyes confirmed it, all Royals have golden eyes...idiot". I roll my eyes.

"Humph!"  His makes a sound and stares at me.

I ignore him and turn my head a little and hold my hand out so the creature can climb on it.

We stare into each other's eyes and then I feel a tingling feeling.  Like we bonded somehow.

Suddenly I feel like something lightly writing on the inside of my bicep.  Like a feather tracing a design. I lift my arm up and see black tracing a line of a fancy looking diamond there.  It doesn't hurt or anything, not like I can feel pain or anything anyway.  Stupid scientists took that way too.

"Tiki, look I'm sorry I didn't tell you about me being Royal, okay?" He pleads.

I just lowly growl at him when he takes a step towards me. He stops when the creature glares at him too. He glares back, while I drop my hands and it floats in the air, huh. Did not expect that to happen.

It chirps, literally chirps and floats over to me on my shoulder. I roll my eyes. Why is it so close to me anyway?

I lay down and turn my back to the fire and Carlos.

"Tiki I have just one question, is your wolf blind?" I freeze when he asks that question and as if the creature feels my discomfort, he crawls on top of my side and sits there. Probably watching what Carlos is doing or if he is doing anything.

"Tiki?" I just pretend to be asleep and didn't answer his question.

I remember it clear as the day, the day when Sasha lost her sight.

I look around the room, I am in a metal covered room and the door suddenly squeaks open. "Shift". I hear someone say and for some reason I obey. Like everyday, they tell me to shift and they start experimenting on me. I try to fight it but I can't it's like my cells are being controlled or something. I shift and when I'm done, a man in glasses and a white lab coat walks right in front of my face. Growl! I warn him to step away but he doesn't move an inch. 'How dare he challenge me! I am Ro-'. What was Sasha going to say? Before she could finish, I felt something sting both my eyes and I couldn't see anymore. Sasha starting freaking out, growling at the pain and running into walls. When I finally was able to calm her down, she used her other senses that became stronger then before. Her voice is deeper and angrier then I have ever heard. "What did you do to me?!" She snarls. "It was supposed to increase your power of sight not blind you!" He says worriedly, afraid. Sasha growls and listens for his heartbeat and feels his vibration of breathing underneath her paws. When she pin points where he is standing, she attacks and kills him.

I promised Sasha I will find a way to get her sight back, one way or another.  I will never break that promise either. With that thought in mind, I fell asleep.
