Chapter 46- Calm down

TIKI POV

All the giants calmed down and start to leave, except the wolf.  I start heading in the direction of Carlos now that he is gone.  The wolf jumps in front of me and lays down, grunting at me.  

"Ichor wants to give you a ride." King Rukas smirks at me.  I can't believe but I am a bit tired from sparring with Carlos and now I have to wrap my head around my mate?  

I jump on him, right behind his head and I find a good grip to hold on to.  Ichor stands up when I hear Kenna's voice.  

"Hey, wait!  Can we come with you?" She asks.  Ichor lowers himself again.  Letting Kenna get on right behind me.  I immediately felt arms wrap around me.  I flinch, "What are you doing?"  

"Holding on to you"  She says it so casually.  "Is it okay?"  She asks, slowly removing her arms.  

"No, its fine."  I say quietly.

"Great!"  Her arms quickly find their place again.

Ichor suddenly growls and snaps to his side when my 'mate' gets on but jumps off to aviod getting bit.  With Ichor sudden movements both Kenna and I almost slide off.  

I growl at him for a warning and he stops.

"I don't think he wants me to get on him!"  Zane exclaims.

"You're fine now, Tasha warned him."  Kenna reassures him.  

He slowly gets on this time, followed by the rest.  Ichor growls again with Luke gets on as the last one.

"What do I hold on to?"  He asks

"Whatever you can!" Kenna replies.

Ichor stands up and starts running full speed, followed by screams behind me.  Kenna's was especially loud right in my ear, making Sasha whine.  we zip between trees and leap over logs, Ichor howls happily and what I'm feeling is great!  It's different when I shift into Sasha though.  The rest of the way, I held onto this feeling.

Soon enough, Ichor comes to a stop in front of the handmade log cabin, I call home.  We all get off and I pet Ichor on the muzzle then he takes off.  

Carlos slams the door open and comes stomping over to us.  I thought I caught a glimpse of steam come out of his nose.  He is flaring up with heat, inches away from Zane's face.  Zane's face starts to sweat but he keeps his composure.  

"Mighty dragon" Zane takes a step back and lowers his upper body slightly.  "As you know, Tasha and I are mates.  For that, I do not want to be separated from her."  He looks up at Carlos and he is still looking to kill him.  "I dare to ask; may I stay just one night in your home?"

Kenna steps up next to Zane.  "Hello, my name is Kenna Lo-" Before she could finish, Carlos interrupts and looks at her.

"Kenna Lockwood, adopted daughter of the Moon stone pack.  A beautiful white wolf with golden eyes no one has ever seen."  He pauses for a moment then continues. "Excpet in books that is, from 150 years ago."  He smirks and seems to have calmed down a bit.  

"How do you know who I am?"  Kenna suddenly asked.  

"I know many things, including everyone else here.  Nathan Bande, a wolf who is hard to read with such a stoic face.  Luke Davis, a gamma wolf who is yet to know who he truly is, a Hollow.  Maddison Moore, hybrid- half witch, half wolf.  Mason Moore, brother of Maddison.  Future beta yet can't control his emotions in battle.  And last but not least.  Future alpha of the Moon Stone pack, the last lycan to exist.  The same selfish species that tried to rise to the top but failed.  All killed by the order of the dragon king.  A species who should've stayed on their level.  All reasons for them NOT to stay." Carlos finishes.  

Everyone except Nathan starts talking and asking questions and defending themselves.

"What books?  Do you know where I came from?"

"You know about Hollows too?  Tell me everything you know please!"

"How do you know about my dreams?"

"You want to fight do you?!  I'll fight and tear you to shreds!"  

"Bring it on!"  Carlos ends.

Instead of Zane standing in his human form, it is now a big black beast with the red eyes I saw earlier today.  

Sasha urges me to defend our mate against Carlos, but I don't move.  Kenna comes up to me. I can literally feel her nervousness coming off of her.  "Tasha, we need to do something!"  She wriggles my arm with pleading eyes.  I roll my eyes but agree to help.  I head for Carlos, but she pulls me back. "That would make Arwan jealous and angrier.  Now, I know I can't stop the dragon on my own either.  What needs to be done first is calming that lycan brother of mine down first."

I head towards my mate first but what am I supposed to do?  If it was Carlos, I would knock him out, but can I do that to him?  

"No, you can't do that!  What is wrong with you?!"  Sasha scolds me.

"Well, what you suggest I do?"

"Touch him."

"What?!"

"You heard me, hug him, kiss him do whatever.  Just touch him and he will relax. GENTLY though."  I can just see her smirking right now.

Ok whatever.  I stand right in front of him and wrap my arms around this furry beast.  All his tense muscles and growling ceases.  That warmth feeling is back and even I relax until Carlos growls.  He starts charging this way when my whole body seems to cool down.  Out of nowhere Carlos is in a huge bubble of water with Champ floating on top of it.  

Carlos' eyes turn gold and he half transforms.  If he transforms fully, he would've crushed the house.  He manages to get out of the bubble, grabs Champ and is about to eat her when I have an urge to save Champ.  I leap towards them, grab Champ and tackle Carlos to the ground.  Champ slips back into the tattoo and I start punching his scaly face repeatedly.  

All I see is his face as my target, after a few more hits I slam my fist next to his head and he opens his eyes, surprised.  "Tiki!  What the hell?!"  He is back to himself with no scales or golden eyes.  

"I don't know what happened.  As soon as you threatened Zane and Champ, something came over me and took control."  It's weird, I've never felt this before.

Carlos looks at me puzzled then smiles, like he knows what's up and I don't.

"They can stay the night, but I am not letting them out of my sight."  Carlos sighs.
