TIKI POV
The Giant King just grunts and bends down to see us better. I glare at him while Carlos stares amazed at the size and magic swirling around him.
"You may go now Sirius" the giant king says with taking his eyes off of us. Sirius, the other giant says nothing else and leaves quietly.
I quickly think to defensive mode and looked at everything around us and for a escape route incase we needed one. I refocused on the king when he started speaking.
"What brought you to The Woods to trespass onto my land rogues?" He asks showing no form of excuses.
"We actually es-" I elbowed Carlos in the ribs when he started to blab everything to a giant king we know nothing about. He coughs slightly and starts again. "We came here because we had no choice, sir. We were stuck in the mortal realm for about 6 months. While Tiki was getting sick for 5 months, worse everyday. I was out looking for something, anything to save her. So anyway, I finally found a portal, so when we went through we appeared in The Woods." That is actually really good, not the whole truth but most of it. Nicely done.
He narrows his eyes at us as in questioning to believe us or not.
"Sirius and the others did give you their respect but didn't say anything about your respect to us." Jeez, it's like he's looking for an excuse for us not to be here- wait, that's very good. We can be on our way then.
"Yeah, so?" I say casually, leaning on one leg and rolling my eyes.
"Tiki!" Carlos yells my name as I cross my arms against my chest, smirking at the giant.
A growl comes out of the giant's chest and shakes the ground which of course brings Sasha out to growl back just as loud. Sasha gets irritated as the giant had no affect to her growling. I flash my fangs and eyes at him which gets a reaction of surprise on his face and the green magic stops swirling around him.
"You're the experiment!" What does he mean THE experiment?! "I should have known, no one ever comes through the portal."
"What do you mean by experiment? What do you know?" Carlos said in a very hostile and cold voice moving slightly in front of me.
"You're not the first experiment to come here." This just got more confusing. "He was experiment #246. He was very out of it, he could barely walk and kept mumbling about another experiment, going back and getting her with force. Then he passed out for a few days, when he woke up he stayed for about a week gathering his strength and testing his abilities. Telling me about a place called S.E.T.O. There was a experiment called labeled #248 aka Tiki Oaks. But he couldn't go back because he never found the portal that sent him here. Before he left, he said take care of her, let her know I will never stop looking." He stares at me as I step out from behind Carlos.
"I never knew what he meant by 'her', but everything makes sense now. You're experiment #248 right? Now, I have no way of contacting him, but I know where he first starting looking. At the supernatural high school, my guess is because the library there it huge. Full of history and present events." He asks hopeful, Carlos and I make eye contact and he looks as unsure as I do.
"You guys can stay here as long as you like, I can take you myself to the log house #246 stayed at before. We built it for him, it maybe a little dusty and all after 3 years of not being used but its should be manageable." He rumbled on, its actually kind of weird a King acting like this in front of a dragon and an experiment.
"Okay only a couple nights to get a good night's rest." Carlos replies, thinking exactly what I am. We need to find this experiment #246.
"Great, I can lead you to the house and you guys can get settled in." The king says.
"Thank you, King..." Carlos drags on not knowing what we should call him.
"Oh, its King Rukas, but you can just call me Rukas" King Rukas replies. He sure opened up quickly. We didn't travel that far until we reached the log house. It was quite a sight to see too.
It was built on top of huge rocks and at the bottom there a rushing river with big rocks scattered in it. The house had green grass and weeds growing on the roof and the house overall on the outside looks like mold has taken over the logs. There is one small window and I won't be surprised if there's only one bed.
"Yeah...maybe we should build you another one real quick?" Rukas suggests
"No, no it's fine. We're only here to rest for a couple days then we will be gone." Carlos responds, which calms the king giant down.
"Okay, let me know if you change your mind!" He waves and walks away.
Once we get inside, its not as bad as I thought it would be. There's a love seat, firewood in a corner, a door to the bathroom I'm guessing, a open door closet, a stove and a bed in the other corner. Just the right amount of things to be in here, with enough space too. Carlos rubs his two fingers across the stove a good layer of dust flies in the air.
"Rukas certainly was right when no one's been here for 3 years. This place is filthy." Carlos complains, at least we have a place to stay. He then goes over to the bed and pats on it making the sheets wrinkle.
"The bed is really soft at least." Yeah, I look out the window and just noticed how dark it had gotten. I'm kind of tired so I head over to the loveseat and try to get comfortable when I feel a tap on my shoulder.
"What?" I snapped.
"I think you should go to the school"
