"Kid! You better get your butt out of bed before I drag you out of it myself!" Hawks, currently the number 3 hero ranked on Hero Billboard Chart, was currently shouting outside of Yami's bedroom.
"Keigo... just give me 10 more minutes, please?" Yami's voice sounded groggy. She was shuffling around in bed, hoping to get some more sleep from almost never sleeping for the past few days.
"You do realize today is the day, right?" He still stood outside her door, "The day of your recommendation exam for U.A.?"
Yami's eyes widened and she let out an audible gasp, quickly jumping out of her bed, and rushing to her door. She clumsily tripped over her rug, and stumbled towards her doorknob, twisting it open to reveal her brother, Keigo Takami.
He wasn't her brother by blood, technically he took her under his wing for training, but they eventually grew a familial relationship. He was her mentor, but also her loving and caring brother. He has been for almost 6 years.
She rubbed her eyes in excitement, facing the hero who was leaning against the frame of her door, "Well? Are you going to change or miss the exam completely?"
"Yeah... good morning to you bird brain,"
"It is only the first conversation of the day and you decide to insult me. I'm so hurt, Yami!" He dramatically clutched his heart, and had a pained look on his face, which made Yami flick his forehead.
"Well, it's never going to stop. You better get used to it!" I began to close the door as he placed his hands in his pockets, and shrugged.
"Yeah, yeah. I have for the past three years when you decided to pick up on my humor."
"It's like I'm a mini version of yourself, as the media claims." She shut the door and began to put on her clothes for the day. "I mean, are they wrong though?
Despite not being blood related, I'd say we could pass as actual siblings,"
Somehow, Yami could just sense that Keigo was deviously grinning, even when not being able to see his expression at that moment now, "Does that mean I pass as a good brother?"
"Of course you do," Yami said as she slid her arms through the sleeves, fixing her jacket. "You're such a good brother that even your charm has rubbed on me." She finished her outfit by changing into some comfortable joggers.
The girl quickly fixed her hair, tying it back a little and put the final touches on herself for the day. "You are not wrong about that,
Just don't get a partner too soon! I need to meet them first." He teased from outside Yami's door, dashing back to the kitchen to get some breakfast ready.
She swung her door open, a little defeated, but annoyed at her brother's comments.
Yami ran down the hallway into the kitchen. The two had lived in an apartment above his agency, so it was easy access. Plus they wouldn't have to worry about any kind of luxurious home. A complex was all they needed, and they were both satisfied with what they had, as long as they had each other.
"Keigo I swear..." She stopped herself at the counter right where he was making some pancakes, whistling innocently, hand on his hip looking sassy as ever.
"What? I'm just saying..." His voice got a little softer, but still had that sarcastic tone attached to it. "U.A. probably has some kind hearted kids you'll eventually find."
Yami rolled her eyes with a little chuckle followed right after. "I'm kind of not really interested in a relationship right now. With how the media treats me, I'm not sure if I know what a genuine confession would look like." She shrugged, placing her hands in her pockets.
