Yami's POV

Todoroki's been acting odd for the rest of the day, and I could assume it was from the announcement of the sports festival. It must be a large weight on him especially coming from his father and the high standards he holds him too.

But we promised each other that we would help each other's burden, so I'm going to fulfill my end of that request.

We had short conversations throughout the day and we both agreed to start training starting today. Every other day would be where we train at his place. The other days were reserved for Hawks' agency.

After school is where we would head back home and begin our training for the sports festival.

Todoroki's attitude returned to when he acted on day one: cold and slightly distant, even towards me. Though I understood if he didn't want to speak as much so I respected his space. But I couldn't lie when I say it didn't sting a little.

I hoped it wouldn't last for the entire two weeks, maybe he'll blow some steam off during combat sessions. It's a relief he still agreed to working on our skills and didn't change his mind.

We were just about ready to leave the classroom. I stood by Yaoyorozu's side, caught up in a conversation about the previous weekend. "I heard you were at the modeling shoot I was at last weekend! How was that?"

She smiled, "It was wonderful! They were all so polite and considerate, especially since it was my first photo shoot..."

"I'm certain your photos turned out great, Momo! I'm sorry I wasn't there, something came up during my break." I apologized, but she quickly reassured me.

"It's quite alright Mei! I actually spoke with the other person I was there with... who was it... Kiyoshi I think it was," I immediately scrunched my face and looked at her, my lips curved into an annoyed smile. She continued.

"He was surprisingly nice! And he sure was the charmer. Kiyoshi told me that he knew you as well, and knew much about your character. He even mentioned the fact you two-"

I frantically lifted my hands in the air, shushing the tall girl before moving on with her sentence. I nervously chuckled, looking around me. "Sorry I thought I heard someone. Uh... continue,"

"Well, he mentioned you two are dating. I never heard you mention him once! Is there something you'd like to confirm with me, Mei?" She gave me a small smirk, expecting me to get flustered.

I blinked, once, twice, thrice. I was nowhere near flustered, not in the slightest. In fact, I was furious.

"He told you, WHAT." My voice boomed throughout the classroom, catching some attention of some other students. One of them being Todoroki. Of course he had to turn his head around, that'll definitely spark up a conversation later. "I mean... could you explain to me what else he said?"

"I didn't know you were dating someone, Mei! Though he told me to keep it discreet because of the media and he knows how much you hate it-"

"Yeah I hate him. That little bastard I swear I'll-" I shook my head, clearing my thoughts and preventing myself from saying anything further. "Momo, whatever you heard, it's. Not. True."

She blinked at me and then put her hands in front of her mouth. "Oh I'm deeply sorry, Mei! I was too quick to assume I didn't think of running it by you first..."

"Yaoyorozu, it's okay really! He's a trickster; he'll practically use his charm for anyone to believe him." I scoffed and crossed my arms. "Can't believe he's been spreading shit like that even after so long."

"You don't have to explain any further! I'm actually quite relieved."

"You can just call me by my nickname, Yami! I hope you don't mind me using Momo." I glanced up at her, accepting her apology, "I'll explain another time! School's about to end."
