Equilibrium (Todoroki x OC)

Chapter 9

Yami's POV

"I can't believe I'm paired up with Bakugou..." I complained as I shoved my face in my hands.

"Hey... at least you'll have Iida with you. He isn't so bad." Yaoyorozu comforted me as she placed a hand on my back. I took my face out of my hands and looked up at her with a displeased look.

"I can tolerate Iida to an extent. Bakugou on the other hand..." I looked over to the spiky haired boy who was already heading inside the building for our turn. I exhaled and furrowed my eyebrows, "He gives me a headache."

"I'm sure there's a positive side to him. You'll just have to find it."

"How are you wiser than me... and more beautiful. Tell me your secrets Yaoyorozu," I crossed my arms and chuckled, beginning to follow Bakugou upstairs.

"You are too much Mei. Good luck!"

Reaching where Iida and Bakugou were, we were on guard for the fake bomb, meaning that if the opposite team, Midoriya and Uraraka, captured the bomb, then it would be game over. I calmly approached both, which Bakugou was arguing as per usual against Iida's suggestions.

"I'm not going to listen to your useless plan! I'm going after that damn Deku myself and no one is going to stop me from doing so."

"Bakugou! We have to work together in order for this plan to go smoothly, if we lose, then-"

"I don't care, Sonic! I'm gonna win this match my own way." And with that, Bakugou walked past me, shoving his shoulder into my own and heading the opposite direction.

"He's a lost cause." I told Iida as I walked closer, hoping to come up with a plan with him last minute. "What was the original plan?"

"The plan was for me to be on guard while you and Bakugou stall Midoriya and Uraraka. But it looks like Bakugou is going to be doing it his own way." He pondered, trying to think of another plan. We didn't have much time to think of another one, but suddenly, it clicked.

I didn't know if it would work, but it was worth a shot at trying. "Well, instead of me searching for Uraraka, I would say you could go out. You're the faster one out of the both of us and you being observant and all will benefit us in the long run.

Bakugou would do almost anything to find Midoriya at this point, so we're going to use his personal feelings right now to our team's advantage. Even though he shouldn't be using his feelings in the first place, when was he going to listen anyway?" I rubbed my temples, grazing over my left one where my chip was. I hoped to heaven it did not activate during this training.

Iida was listening in carefully, "Midoriya will be distracted by Bakugou, that's a fact because knowing Bakugou, he can be reckless. They'll be at it for a while. Which leaves us with Uraraka, and her quirk can come in handy when looking for the bomb. She can easily float, waiting around and floating when the moments are right if she needs to hide.

That's why you're perfect for scouting her out, Iida. The worst case scenario is that you lose her and she comes to this room. She'll have to deal with me, and I believe I can handle her. I'll also clean up the floor from any debris she might use against me. "

"That is... a better thought out plan than mine I will admit! I never thought of those other factors before Mei, thank you!"

"And the round begins!" All Might connected with us through our earpieces.

"Oh and Iida! Since we have our earpieces, communicate to me if you found her, or if she's heading in my direction." I shouted at him before he left the room.

"Yes Ma'am!"

And he left, leaving me to be the only one in the room with the fake bomb. I began to clean up the small pieces of concrete from the floor in a quick manner. Once Uraraka would arrive, she would only have me to deal with and there would be no trickery between us.
