Yami's POV

I always keep my cool around reporters and during interviews, but I couldn't today.

With the news of All Might being a teacher at U.A., it meant that reporters were swarming the gates of the school, begging for students to answer the questions they were dying to know.

I texted Todoroki this morning to tell him he didn't have to walk me to school either, to which he replied with a simple "Ok."

It felt that by the hour, he wanted nothing to do with me. And certainly after the possible discovery I made yesterday, I couldn't face him. I figured it would be too awkward.

And that was completely new of me considering how social and sarcastic I can be. Today, I was on edge like how I was way back when. It was something I hated, and I prayed to the heavens that what I read in my book yesterday was not true for Todoroki's case.

My head was filled with running thoughts that were circling around my brain that I didn't even pay attention to the crowd that was running up to me.

"Excuse me Miss! Are you a part of the Hero Course?" A young woman reporter came up to me, with a bunch more following. She shoved a mic in front of my face, expecting an answer.

"Uh... Yeah."

"What's it like having the number one hero teaching your class?"

"Uh..." I checked the time on my phone to see that it was 20 minutes before class started, and I definitely did not want to get on Mr. Aizawa's bad side. "Look, sorry but I can't answer questions right now! I have to get to class,"

I tried to push my way through the crowd of reporters, but they still surrounded me with cameras and microphones. I was getting sick of it. Why were the sidewalks so small?

I suddenly felt a hand grasp my arm. "If you'll excuse us, we're going to be heading to class." It was Todoroki. I gulped as he began to quickly pick up the pace, making it through the rush of reporters. As we passed the gates, I also noticed Mr. Aizawa emerging from the sea of reporters.

Todoroki immediately let go of my arm and we walked side by side together to class, which Mr. Aizawa was also late for. "You'd think they know a little personal space." I rolled my eyes and looked behind me. They were interrogating different people from the same class.

"It's the media. They don't respect their interviewees." There was that classic short and sweet reply he always had. Nothing more than 10 words. "Are you okay though? I saw you in the cafe yesterday after school and-"

I blinked. "You saw me... where?"

"Tea Shop."

"Were you stalking me?" I said, a little surprised as we entered the building, voices filling up the room. We continued walking.

"No. I just happened to be in the same area as you." He told me. "Now, are you okay? You seemed a little shaken up."

He looked me directly in the eye and stopped. We finally reached the floor our class was on, yet he stopped right when we reached the top of the stairway.

"Just the book I was reading," We continued walking to the door of the classroom, "You know the part in the book where you read the character doing something that makes you have to close the book?"

"No."

"Oh... well that was that moment for me. So whatever you saw was my reaction to that character's actions!"

He paused for a second, his hand about to slide open the door. I hoped he believed my lie. "I see." Was his final statement before entering the classroom with me.
