Yami's POV

Just before I was about to leave the infirmary, Recovery Girl finally returned after her small leave.

"Ah! Recovery Girl," I sat by the edge of my bed, slipping my shoes back on my feet in a hurry. My head still felt light after returning, but I still felt well enough to roam around and grab some lunch. "Thank you for healing me."

"You're off already? Well, I predicted it would be a good time for you to leave with 40 minutes left to prepare." Her short figure wandered to her desk in the opposite corner of the room.

"I'm feeling much better now, I'll be off then."

"Good luck dear and be careful, remember my quirk doesn't fully fix everything!"

I fixed my P.E. uniform and headed for the door, quickly shutting it behind me. I was met with fairly silent, empty hallways.

Not all silent though.

"Didn't Boss have a little lady like her to keep you restrained?"

"I would appreciate it if you wouldn't make comments like that regarding the past," I whispered under my breath, making sure that no one was able to hear me. I walked towards the exit that led to the outside.

"What? I'm just trying to get you riled up in preparation for your fight with that Peppermint kid."

"Are you trying to get the both of us apprehended?" I turned a corner into a dark corridor. I could see the light that shone from the other end. "Just don't interact with any of my classmates. We're getting this deal done with."

And there was one more figure who had their back against the wall, hands in their pockets.

"Bakugo?" I walked up to him. "What're you doing-" He quickly interrupted me and placed a hand frantically over my mouth, indicating I needed to shut up.

"Quiet you, damn nerd." He whispered, gesturing his head from around the corner. He removed his hand from my mouth and I furrowed my eyebrows, carefully peeking over from his shoulder to see what he was so worked up about.

From our perspective, Todoroki came into view... and it seemed that he wasn't alone.

I retracted my head back and quietly scoffed, ignoring the conversation he shared with the other mysterious person. "Not what I needed to see or hear right now."

Bakugo looked down on me with his angered expression, but he only looked away in silence. I would assume he considered my comment.

I walked away from them.

"Geez, what's up with the short-tempered pomeranian boy? He'll be a fun competition."

I ignored her remark and looked for another exit that wasn't where Todoroki was occupying.

"Y-You should probably talk to Mei and clear things up."

"Yeah."

My eyes widened in surprise to reveal Midoriya's voice in the distance. I decided to look over my shoulder. Bakugo quickly walked in my direction to head to the exit.

"You better get out of here before they catch the both of us." He had a slightly frustrated expression as he passed me. I rolled my eyes and followed right behind him.

When we reached the end of the hallway, we went our separate ways. I wasn't intending on getting friendly with him either. I wasn't very fond of him in the first place.

"Talk to you? Talk to you about what? How he's gonna beat you in the festival? Oh, well not when I'm here I swear-"

"I won't let him beat me."
