Yami's POV
Monday finally rolled around, meaning classes were to resume this week. The break was interesting to say the least, but at least it was restful. Restful for me, Keigo however...
Ever since the USJ attack, he's been growing a tad bit more worried for my safety. Like any good brother should be for their little sister whose class was literally attacked by a group of villains. But it was growing to be an annoying kind of worry.
So it would mean that Todoroki's morning walks will be continuing.
"I understand your worry Keigo but..." Our front door was wide open and Todoroki stood on the other end, witnessing my brother suffocating me with his deathly hugs. "Can't...breathe-"
My eyes felt like they were going to pop out at any moment.
"Sorry Yami! Just wanted to give you some Monday love, be safe out there!" I waved a tired goodbye to him, and Todoroki nodded his head in acknowledgement.
We were off.
We headed towards the elevator at the end of the hallway. Comfortable silence between the two of us until I pressed the button to call for the elevator.
"I heard from my brother that the U.A. Sports Festival is coming up soon." The machine before us dinged and the doors slid open for us to enter. I stepped in first, the half and half boy following behind.
The two of us stood right beside each other.
"Are you ready for that?" I asked, looking at him.
It finally took me a while to realize how tall he was compared to me, four more inches taller. His presence never intimidated me, but there was something about today that threw me off.
He broke eye contact, looking at the closed elevator doors. The sound of the floor number changing eased the silence. "I know my old man will make me train."
There it was. The mention of his father. Had he been pestering Todoroki about the sports festival as well?
I shoved my hands in my uniform pockets. "Well if you don't want to train with him," I looked back at him and he noticed my gaze landing with his eyes. "You're welcome to train with me—I train with the Commission so you'll be getting some intense combat."
We locked eye contact for a little. The elevator dinged and the doors slid open, indicating our time to leave. He let me exit first of course, and he always followed behind. "Sure. We can switch between agencies,
But when we're at my home, we're staying away from my old man."
We passed the front desk, and I waved at them smiling. They waved back. "Sounds like a plan. I didn't want to formally meet your dad anyway." A disgusted shiver went down my spine. We reached the front door and I opened it, entering the sidewalk.
"You never had?"
I shrugged, "Nope. But I've seen Keigo and him speaking with one another, and we occasionally exchanged glances. Pretty sure he's not fond of me." I sounded a little arrogant. I really didn't want to meet Endeavor after everything I've been told of him.
"Oh."
"I mean on the bright side, we both hate your dad!" I humorously told him as I turned around to face Todoroki.
"I suppose we both do. That would be an additional thing we can agree on."
"You've also been keeping track? Wow, look at you!"
"How are you so energetic in the morning... and loud."
"Have you not met my brother?"
"I have."
