The restaurant was incredibly busy, but neither man cared. Scott pressed the bottle of beer to his lips and tilted his head back. Afton watched, entranced. Scott was so beautiful, in the way that he moved and spoke and held himself. Anything he did held Afton in full captivation. When Scott set the bottle back down, he looked at it and spun it around to look at it better, gently pinching the neck of the bottle between his thumb and forefinger.  When he looked up again, he met Afton's inquisitive eyes, and his cheeks blushed gently as his lips curled into a gentle smile.

"Is it not good?" Afton asked him, suppressing a chuckle.

"No, no it is. It reminded me of what I used to drink when I was... younger." Scott faltered, grinning bashfully into his plate. Afton let his smile flash as he looked at his lover.

"I hope I don't make you feel old. Don't let me rub off on you." Afton laughed, reaching out and holding Scott's hand gently.

"Well I am. I'm almost forty." Scott said, looking up and squinting.

"Scotty, are you calling me old? And besides, you're only thirty six, you have four more years." Afton said in mock offense, rolling his eyes as he picked up his fork and skewered a piece of red steak with his fork. Scott gave his hand a squeeze.

"That's not at all what I was intending!" He said, taking the bottle in his other hand and taking another sip.

"Next thing I know, you're going to be trying to put me in an old persons home." Afton said and watched as Scott choked on his drink; a hand flew to his mouth as he ducked, coughing.

"William Afton..." Scott scolded, the moment he could get a full gasp of air. He looked at the man in scorn who was hiding a laugh behind the back of his hand. "I don't want to hear that again, m'kay?" He said. Afton just pushed another piece in his mouth.

"Is everything going well over here, sirs?" A young woman chirped beside them all of a sudden. Scott jumped and choked again, Afton burst into another fit of suppressed giggles and the poor waitress looked flustered.

"Yes-" Afton cleared his throat, composing himself in the moments notice, "yes, ma'am, everything is wonderful, thank you, my dear." He said and Scott's face had turned red with the struggle to hold down an outburst of laughter.

"Alright, call me if you need anything... would you like some water, sir?" She asked, diverting her attention to a teary eyed Scott, who just looked at her and shook his head rapidly.

"Ahem... no, ma'am, I'm alright thank you." He managed and as she was walking away, he burst out into a flurry of giggles, grabbing Afton's hands and smiling at him with more love than Afton had seen in his whole life. Scott's contagious smile affected him as well as he lifted one of Scott's hands to his lips.

"I love you, jellybean." He told Scott, looking up through his eyelashes. Scott faltered before his smile softened and he flushed again.

"I love you too..."
