I didn't sleep the entire night. I led in my bed, staring at the ceiling as I thought over everything he said to me. I wished I didn't love him, it would of made walking away so much easier. I ran a hand through my hair, as I turn on the light. I knew he wouldn't leave me, it just made it even harder to stay away from him. I look outside the window, I could see the TARDIS in the distance. I take a deep breath, as I thought back again, my head was pounding already. There's a crash and I quickly ran out to see what happened, Missy. "What are you doing here?" She looked so mad. "Did you really think that I'd just let you leave? After everything you've done?" She grabbed my throat, as she pinned me to the wall. Choking me. "You don't want to do this." I breathed, barely even able to get my words out. "Oh, I do. I've been waiting a long time for this." I manage to push her back, as I ran outside towards the TARDIS. I rushed inside, as I fell down, breathless. "Y/n!" The Doctor ran to me, pulling me into his arms as I held onto him. "You can't trust her, Doctor. You can't. Please don't let her come back." I begged him, as he wrapped his arms around my back. "Talk to me. Tell me what happened." I didn't want to let him go, I was so scared. "She tried to kill me, Doctor. You can't believe a word she says." He frowned, "I know that you've had your differences, but she's changed. I know-" he didn't believe me. I stand back from him, as he watched me closely. "No. No, Doctor.. don't believe her. Please don't believe her."
"Y/n, just give it a chance. I know that you're upset." I felt the tears hit my eyes. "You betrayed me. For her? You lied to me." He shook his head. "No. No, I never lied to you. I just want to start over." Missy walked back inside, as she smirked at me. "What's the matter, dear? Seen a ghost?" I felt my stomach drop, "She tried to kill me, Doctor. How can you believe her over me?" His eyes became softer. "You told me that you wanted me to be with her. That we had each other." I felt my tears fall, "You'll regret this. I promise you." I whispered, as I turned and I left the TARDIS. I didn't know where to go, I had no one else. I sat down beside the harbour, once again. I had to figure out how to get out of here. "He's playing along, you know." That voice. Clara. I turn, seeing her beside me. "You're dead." I whispered. "If you want to put it like that, yes. I am. But, you need me and I'm here." I grab onto her hand, it was like she was here. "Why is he doing this to me?" She watched me. "He needs to make her believe that he's turned on you. But trust me, he doesn't. He knows that you've told the truth. He saw what she did. He's got a plan, he always does. That's our Doctor." I felt relieved that he didn't believe her, but I was still cautious. "I can't keep doing this, Clara. I just want to run away. I need to get out of London." She watched me. "What's stopping you from leaving?" I lean against the wall, "Him." She smiled. "You love him."
"Is that obvious?" She laughed, "It's very obvious." I sighed deeply, as I watched the waves crash into the rocks. "I'd die for him if it meant that he was safe." She squeezed my hand. "Trust me. He needs you, you aren't alone." I look back, she was gone. Shit. I had to leave, I had to leave London. I grab my phone, before I walk back towards my car. Someone grabs me from behind, pushing me to the wall. "I'm so sorry, y/n. I never wanted any of this." The Doctor looked down at me, this was the closest we had ever been. "Why did you do this to us? I gave you every chance to walk away." I felt his heart beats grow faster, as he watched me. "Believe me, when I tell you that I love you. With all my hearts. With everything I've ever had. I'll come back for you, I swear." He kissed my forehead, as he let me go. "Doctor!" I screamed for him, as I broke down in tears. Would I ever see him again?
Two years passed, I'd moved to Sheffield and I was a lot happier being here. It was home, it felt right. I was moving some boxes into my house, when I saw a blonde woman staring at me from across the street. I frowned, thinking nothing of it. I look away, as I lock up the front door and walk down the road. She was still staring at me. That was weird. I stop, when I saw the TARDIS parked on the corner of the street. Oh my god, he was back. My heart dropped, that was until I saw the blonde woman again. I watched as she walked towards the TARDIS. "Doctor?" I whispered. She gave me this look, I dropped everything and I ran into her arms. She held me so tightly that I almost couldn't breathe. Relief washed over me as I didn't dare let her go.
"I told you I'd be back." She whispered.
I laughed. For the first time in years. I was home.
