"Doctor, I'm leaving!" I shouted, grabbing my bag as I headed to the doors. "Where are you going?" He asked, "I told you, I'm hanging with my friends tonight. I'll be back tomorrow." I smiled a little, "Okay, see you tomorrow." He looked down, as he worked on the TARDIS. "Are you okay?" I asked, "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Go and have fun with your friends." I frowned, "Okay, I'll see you." I leave, as I shut the door behind me and I sighed deeply, I couldn't help but think something was wrong. As I walked down the street, my phone started to ring. I look down, seeing the doctor was calling me. Huh, weird. "Hey, Doctor. You okay?" I walk toward my best friends house, "You left your keys here, I wasn't sure if you needed them." I smiled a little, "Not really, but thank you for checking. I'll call you when I'm on the way back." I hang up, before I stop at her front door. I glance through the window, seeing that she was with my ex boyfriend, Carl. They were kissing, she was sat on his lap and laughing. I couldn't believe her, she knew how much heartbreak I was going through, and she did this to me? My stomach dropped, as I realised maybe leaving was the best choice I made, clearly she was never my friend. I wanted to go in there and yell, to rip her hair out and slap him, but I wouldn't do that, because I had the Doctor now, my doctor and he was all I needed. I turn and I walk away, not even letting a tear fall as I walk back toward the TARDIS, I take a breath, before I walked back inside, just trying to stay calm.

"You're back already?" He looked over at me, "Yeah, I'm not feeling great. I'll probably just head to bed." He frowned, "Y/n, what happened?" I stopped, "I just need some space, Doctor." I hated how I was letting this get to me. "Yeah, of course. I'll be here when you're ready to talk." I went to go back to hug him, but he moved away. "What are you doing?" He seemed to panic, "Doctor, I-" he looked freaked out, which made me feel worse. "Please don't do that, don't touch me. Wait, y/n.. I didn't mean-" I rushed upstairs, going to my bedroom and shutting the door. We had been best friends for years, what had I done so wrong that he didn't want me to be near him? I lay down, as I shut my eyes and I just try and calm down, my stomach hurt so much and I felt even worse, I'd already lost my best friend, now the man I loved was gone too? A while later, I decided to shower and get changed, I was pretty hungry, so I went to the kitchen to get some food, I had my earphones in, listening to music as I made myself a snack. I sat down as I stare at the wall, I hardly ever came here, but I forgot how big the TARDIS was sometimes. I turn off the music and put my earphones away, as I listen to the TARDIS humming away. "Y/n." His voice almost made my heart stop, "Shit." I jumped, I didn't expect him to be stood right behind me. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." I sighed, "It's fine, Doctor." I stand up, as he gently grabbed my wrist, "Please just sit down for a second."

"What? Why?" His hand felt quite cold, but I wasn't expecting this. "Please, I need to talk to you." I felt nervous for some reason, we weren't the most touchy people around each other, I tried to be but he seemed against it. I sat down, as he sat next to me. "Firstly, I'm sorry for how I spoke to you last night. I shouldn't of snapped like that, I just- I've not had anyone be close to me for a long time.. I'm not used to it. I care about you, a lot and of course I want to touch you- it just takes time for me to open up physically." I take a breath, "Doctor, it wasn't just because of you that I was upset. I found out one of my close friends is sleeping with my ex boyfriend. I caught them together yesterday." He frowned, "You don't deserve that, y/n. I'm so sorry." I smiled sadly, "I'm just glad I have you to come back to, when things go bad." He gently cupped the side of my face, "Always."

In that moment, I knew I'd be okay.
