Nagpapasalamat pa din ako sa Diyos dahil incomplete spinal injury lang ang natamo ko. The ability of my spinal cord to convey messages from my brain did not completely lost. Higit sa lahat, some of my sensation and movement is possible below the level of injury. Sa madaling salita, malayo pa ako sa pagiging inutil. I can still function like a normal people if I recover fully soon.
I spent roughly three months in the hospital, and today is my last day. I'm feeling so much better now. My doctor has been requiring me to use a walking device for more than two months now. But, after undergoing various rehabilitation programs, I am grateful that I am now able to walk, albeit not fully.
I was already allowed to go home by the doctor, but I still need to go to the hospital on a regular basis. Pinayagan lang akong sa bahay na lamang magpatuloy ng aking recovery. I still need support when walking. I am not completely recovered, pero I already improved a lot.
Linggo-lingo akong binibisita sa Ospital ni Ylle at Sean to check on my status. I am really extremely grateful. I am now starting to appreciate him. How can I continue to hate him kapag ganito siya sa akin? He's so good that my heart melt every time he is showing that side to me.
After we have talked to my doctor ay inalalayan na ako nina Mommy at Daddy palabas ng Hospital. Nagulat ako nang makita sina Ylle at Sean na naghihintay sa amin sa lobby. All I know is that they can't come because of their busy schedule at school. Ylle is busy with the school publication, and I know Sean too, because he is a varsity player, but he still came.
Lumapad ang ngiti nilang dalawa nang makita ako.
"Surprise!" bungad ni Ylle
"Akala ko hindi kayo pupunta"
"Pwede ba iyon?"
"Congratulations sa iyong paglaya" biro ni Sean sabay abot sa akin ng hawak na bouquet. Sinaraan ko siya ng tingin. Gusto niya bang maasar ulit ako sa kanya? Pero in fairness ha, may pa flowers ulit siya hehehehe.
Mommy is about to call a taxi when Sean stopped her.
"Tita, I have a car. Ihahatid ko na po kayo"
"O sige"
"Mommy?" saad ko.
"Huwag ka ng maarte jan. Mabuti nga at nagmagandang loob pa itong kaibigan mo"
"We're not friends" tutol ko
"future boyfriend" sabad ni Sean.
Pinaputian ko siya ng mata. As if naman sasagutin ko siya tssskk. I promised myself that I would not have a boyfriend until I graduated.
Pagkatapos kaming maihatid ni Sean ay nagpaalam na rin agad sila ni Ylle. They still need to go back to the University to comply about their tasks as a student.
Kinabukasan ay naghanda na ako para pumasok. This is my first day to go back at school after the accident. limitado pa din ang galaw ko dahil nasa recovery stage palang ako. I really badly wanted to go back to school na to catch up para sa mga na missed kong lessons.
Pagkababa ko ng taxi ay nakita kong nag aabang si Ylle sa gate ng University. Patakbo siyang lumapit nang makita ako.
She hugged me. "Good to see you back at school"
"Me too. I missed everything"
"let's go"
Inalalayan niya ako kahit na ilang beses akong tumanggi. I can already handle myself kahit na medyo hirap pa akong kumilos pero hindi siya nagpapigil kaya hinayaan ko nalang.
While walking down the corridor, nakita ko si Allea sa dulo nito.
Shemssss!!! makakasalubong pa ata namin. Naalala ko naman ang inis sa mukha niya from our last confrontation. Takte h'wag na sanang maulit.
