si - si- Sean?
I was stunned nang makita siya. The engineer that they are waiting is no other than Sean? Napayuko ako, alam Kong tainted ang sasakyan at hindi ako nakikita mula sa loob pero yumuko pa din ako.
Nakita kong nag-usap silang tatlo. I don't know what exactly they are talking about. Maya-maya pa ay lumapit na si mommy sa kotse na siyang binabaan naman ni daddy para pagbuksan ng pinto. Pagkababa ni daddy ay nakita ko ring lumapit si Sean kay daddy para kamayan ito. He was smiling as if he never treated me like a baddest person on earth which I believed I deserve though.
Pagkapasok nilang dalawa sa kotse ay sinulyapan ako ni daddy before he asked mommy.
"Anong ginagawa ni Sean dito?" -daddy.
"Siya ang engineer na pamangkin ng principal. He will going to design and supervise the building of new laboratory and canteen".
Tumango si daddy saka muling bumaling sa akin. "Baka gusto mong batiin si Sean anak?"
I was slightly shocked. Umiling ako then smiled. "We already met po, oks na yun" tipid na sagot ko.
Nagkatinginan sina mommy and daddy but they never said a word again.
"Bakit hindi po kayo nagtatanong?" I asked out of curiosity. Simula ng maghiwalay kami ni Sean way back in college ay hindi pa sila nagtatanong sa mga rason ko.
Bumuntong hininga si Mommy bago magsalita.
"Ayaw naming pangunahan ka anak. We will wait until you tell us. Okay lang din naman sa amin kung sasabihin mo o hindi".
" We trusted you anak. Alam naming piang-iisipan mo lagi ang mga desisyon mo. Besides, hindi ka na bata . Yes, we care to the reasons kung bakit naghiwalay kayo pero nasa iyo pa din naman ang desisyon whether you tell us or not".
Mangiyak-ngiyak ako dahil sa narinig. I'm really grateful to my parents. They're so kind and understanding. Sumilip ako sa window at nakita ko si Sean at ang principal na naglalakad na palayo.
Weeks has passed. Sinulit namin ang bakasyon ko. We decided to go outside of the city every weekend. Kahit papaano ay medyo nawawala na sa isip ko si Sean.
Last week, we went to tagaytay and since nandoon na rin kami, we visited the construction of Ylle's rest house.
Tonight I will meet someone. Sasabak ako sa blind date na hinanda ng kaibigan. Hindi ko alam bakit pumayag pa rin ako. Almost one month nalang at babalik na rin ako ng Korea, siguro it's good to at least meet someone before I go back. Sa totoo lang wala akong gana para makipagkita sa ka-blind date ko pero I will still go, besides I'm bored. Isang beses lang naman e, gusto ko lang mapagbigyan si Ylle.
I arrived at the restaurant at exactly 7:30 pm. I immediately dialed the number that Ylle gave me. Kaka-message niya lang din sa akin para sabihin na naghihintay na sa loob ang ka-blind date ko.
Ian Perez is the name of the guy that I'm going to meet tonight. Other than his name, I don't know any other details about him. His looks, his age, his career, and anything else-I don't have any idea.
"Hello?" Mabilis na sagot ng lalaki sa kabilang linya when I called.
"Ian Perez?" I asked habang inililibot ang mga mata sa loob ng restaurant. I saw an attractive man in the corner, placing his phone on his ears and seeming to be talking to someone on the call.
"Yes, I am Ian Perez. Are you Kianna? Kianna Castro?"
"Ahh, Yes". I answered.
"Are you the beautiful lady wearing a red casual dress standing near the entrance?" He then asked next.
OMG! Is the attractive man in the corner Ian? My date tonight? Our eyes suddenly met. He smiled, and I smiled back at him.
"Yes, I am the one wearing a red casual dress." I responded.
Lumapit ako sa table na kinaroroonan niya. Tumayo naman siya at sinalubong ako.
"Hi!" He said sabay abot ng mga palad sa akin. "I'm Ian. Nice meeting you, Kianna".
Inabot ko ang mga nakalahad niyang palad sa akin. "Hello, nice meeting you too, Ian". I responded.
Inaya niya ako sa table at Inalalayang makaupo sa katapat na upuan. Matapos kong magpasalamat ay lumapit ang waiter at inabot sa amin ang menu book.
"My treat tonight. You can order anything you want to eat". He said.
"Oh? Thank you"
After we had ordered the food and it had already been served to our table, we started talking. He's indeed cool and kind. Very humble and gentlemanly. We're the same age, 27. He owned a studio. He's a freelance photographer and videographer at the same time. I'm comfortable talking to him even though we have just met.
I like his mindset and humor. Halatang halata ang pagiging well-mannered niya. Sobrang dami naming napag-usapan. Good thing is that we almost same way of thinking. I felt his sincerity and genuinely. In fact I enjoyed talking to him.
After we have finished eating and talk about things, he asked me para ihatid but I declined. I will just take a taxi pauwi.
"Okay lang ba na i-message kita after this night para kamustahin? I wanna know you more" He asked before I got in the taxi.
I smiled. "Sure. Why not" I answered.
"Thank you. I'm looking forward for our next meet up, if ever there's a chance again" he added.
I just responds with a smile bago tuluyang sumakay sa taxi.
Next meet up? So there's a chance for us to meet again? Well, that sounds good. I want to know him more too. But I don't think there's another chance again. I'll be leaving the country soon, and I don't feel anything about him, to be honest. He's attractive and has a pleasing personality, but I'm not attracted to him. I'm not interested in him.
