Setting A Plan In Motion

"C'mon, Kat. Wake up. We're here."
I opened my eyes to find Ross right in front of me.
"What?"
"We're here. It's time to get off the plane."
I looked around me and saw everyone else standing up and walking to the exit.
I stood up and went to grab my luggage but Ratliff beat me to it.
"I can get my own luggage you know," I told him
"I know. I was just being a gentleman." He did that eyebrow thing that he seems to do all the time.
"Fine. But only because my bag is super heavy. hahaha"
He smiled back at me and before anything else could happen Rydel was pulling me to the plane exit

"C'mon Kat, if we're not first out we'll get stuck in the back of the van again being squished by one of the boys!" I barely got what she said through my panting.
"Slow down. I'm not as fit as you!" I yelled to her.
"Sorry." She smiled at me but kept pulling me along while speed walking. We managed to beat the boys to the van, and we got the front seats.

"Now I see why you let me get your bag. You wanted to get the front seat and me carrying your bag made it easier to run and beat us. Hahaha" Ratliff said coming up from behind everyone else.
"Sorry, it was Rydel's idea. She didn't want to be stuck in the back and get squished." I tried to defend myself.
"Hahaha. Kat it's fine. I'm just messing with you."
He put his hand out for a fist bump. I fist bumped him and hoped in the van next to Del in the front seat.

"So what with you and Ratliff?" she asked me once the boys had their earphones in and couldn't hear us.
"Nothing. Why?" I was curious as to why she was asking me this.
"No reason." She shrugged and turned to look out the window.
Oh my gosh! Rydel likes Ratliff. That's why she wanted to know what was going on with him and I.
"Hey Rydel," I whispered to her to get her attention and make sure no one else heard me.
"Wha, yeah?"
"You like Ratliff, don't you?"
She looked at me like I was crazy for a second, before caving and nodding her head.
"Why don't you do something? I'm pretty sure he likes you too," I was elbowing her in the side
"He doesn't like me. At least not anymore. Just when I was getting used to the idea of me actually liking him, he met you." She looked at me with a sympathetic look.
"Well then we have to do something about that. Don't we?" I gave her a cheeky grin and she just giggled and gave me playful shove.

"Why are you girls so happy?" Ratliff asked us leaning over the seats.
We looked at him, then at each other and burst out laughing
"Ok then," he said before sitting back in his seat.
The rest of the ride to the hotel Rydel and I were laughing and making jokes.
