Ross' P.O.V.

I followed her and saw her lean down over the toilet to throw up.

I held her hair back while she vomited everything she just ate. When she was done I let go of her hair and she got up and rinsed her mouth out.
"Sorry," she said once she was finished cleaning her mouth.
"It's alright puppy. I'm just worried about you. That came out of no where." I said holding her hands in mine.
"Yeah. Sorry. Sometimes when I eat too much it decides to make its way back up." Phew. I was a little worried she might be pregnant from that time we didn't use protection.
"I'm not." she said snapping me from my thoughts.
"Huh?"
"I'm not pregnant. Trust me. This has happened a lot. My eyes get too big for my stomach and....... this happens." she pointed at the toilet.
"Well at least we know you have a healthy appetite and won't go getting anorexic." I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and headed back out to everyone.

"You ok Kat?" Del asked.
"What's wrong?" Riker asked standing up from his seat.
"You're not pregnant are you?" Rocky giggled.
"I'm fine. Nothing, and hell no Rocky!" Kat answered.
"Sometimes when I've eaten too much, I get sick." She explained to them.
"You sure?" Rocky cheekily asked.
"Yes I'm sure. It's happened before Rocky. So don't be getting any other ideas." She told him. I smiled proudly at my girl. She could definitely handle herself.

"Well I'm glad I'm not going to be a grandma yet," my Mom said from her seat. We all laughed but Kat blushed again. This wasn't an easy subject for her.
"Don't worry Stormie. That's a long way away." Kat told her. We all sat there a little while longer and talked before we moved to the living room and decided to play a board game. We argued a little about what game until we decided to just play trivial pursuit. Since there were only 6 game pieces we decided some of us needed to play in teams;

1. Kat and I - Yellow
2. Del and Ratliff - Pink
3. Mom and Dad - Brown
4. Rocky - Green
5. Riker - Blue
6. Ryland - Orange

By the time we got the game set up it was 10:36am. They let me Kat and I go first since it was my birthday, I rolled a 4 and landed on a green square, but we got the question wrong so our turn ended.

The game lasted just a little under two hours and Del and Ratliff won. I have no clue how that happened. When the game was over Mom, Ry and Rocky went to the kitchen to make lunch. I think Ry went to make sure we didn't get Mac and Cheese.

"Do you guys wanna put a movie on?" Dad asked.
"Romeo and Juliet!" I screamed over everyone else's requests. They all moaned.
"Just cause it's your birthday doesn't mean we have to sit through that again." Riker said coldly.
"Sorry," I said coldly back. "What does everyone else want then?" I asked a little nicer.
"Scott Pilgrim," Riker said.
"Mean girls," Del input.
"Anchorman!" Ratliff screamed.
"What about you Kat?" My dad asked her.
"I don't mind guys. You decide."
"Then why don't you be the tie breaker?" He questioned.
"Ok," she said, a smile growing on her face. "What were they again?"
"Mean girls, Scott Pilgrim, Romeo and Juliet or Anchorman." I repeated for her. She pretended to stroke a beard while thinking.
"I have to go with........ Anchorman." She announced.
"Yes!" El got up and did a little dance thingy.
"You didn't choose mine?" I whined and pouted my lip. She gave me a peck on the lips then said,
"I felt more like Anchorman. 'Stay classy San Diego' and all that." I pretended to be a kid who didn't get what they wanted.

"Child." She teased. I just stuck my tongue out at her and crossed my arms tight against my chest. She rolled her eyes and went to stand up but I just pulled her back down and onto my lap.
"If I can't have my movie, I'm not letting go of my girl." I wrapped my arms tight around her so she couldn't get away. She only fought against it for a second until she gave up and settled down in my lap. Not much later, Mom, Rocky and Ry came in with a whole bunch of sandwiches.

I was starving even though we'd all had a big breakfast. I saw Kat grab a half of a sandwich and eat it painfully slow. I didn't want to bring it up with everyone else around so I decided I'd just ask her later on. Rocky made up for what Kat didn't eat. He was stuffing his face as if he hadn't just had a huge breakfast not 3 hours earlier. But we were used to it. He was like a human garbage can.

Once we'd finished eating lunch, El put the movie in and pressed start.
*There was a time, a time before cable.
When the local anchorman reigned supreme.
When people believed everything they heard on TV.
This was an age when only men were allowed to read the news.
And in San Diego, one anchorman was more man than the rest.
His name was Ron Burgundy.*

We all got comfy to watch the movie. Kat and I in the middle of the couch, Mom and Dad on the side couch, Riker was on the other side of Kat, Ratliff and Del were cuddling up on the ground, Ryland next to me and Rocky was laying on his stomach on the ground. Everyone else looked pretty comfy in their positions, but I think I had them beat. Kats lower legs were over my lap and I had my arms around her waist, pulling her in closer. I liked this movie but watching Kat's face was more interesting. The way she smiled and laughed along with the jokes, the way she would put on a sympathetic look when something sad happened. It was just fun to see, especially when I only had two and a half weeks left to see her everyday. After that we would only have Skype, FaceTime and texting.

"Ross?" I was taken from my thoughts by someone whispering quietly in my ear. "Ross?" I turned to see Kat's face right next to my ear.
"Yeah?" I asked just as quiet.
"What're you doing?" I furrowed my eyebrows at her. I wasn't doing anything at all.
"You haven't been watching the movie at all."
"I've seen it before. I don't need to."
"We're all sitting here to watch a movie. Not stare at me through the entire thing," she cheekily whispered.
"You're so much more interesting than Will Ferrell." She rolled her eyes and looked back at the screen while I went back to looking at her.

"You're gonna be getting enough of my face tonight," she winked.
"When's this thing you have planned start?"
I don't know. When the movie's finished?"
"Are you asking me or telling me?"
"Both?"
"You don't sound so sure."
"I'm sure of what we're doing. It's just that we can go whenever we want."
"As soon as the movie is finished?" I asked her a little too excited.
"If you really want to, I guess so. But it might be better if we wait a little longer." She advised me.
"How about we watch another movie after this one then we go?"
"Sounds great." she said a little louder than we had been before.

"Sshhhhh!" Everyone shushed us.
"Sorry. Just organising our date." I explained.
"Do that later. Ron Burgundy is about to..." Ratliff managed to get out before, "....Go fuck yourself San Diego." Came from the TV. We all cracked up laughing even though we knew it was coming.

"What's next?" Rocky asked looking at the DVD collection.
"Romeo and Juliet!" I offered again.
"No!" Everyone chorused back.
"Fine. I get it. You guys hate me. You don't want me to have that good a birthday." I put my hands up in surrender.
"Ross!" My Mom scolded me. "We've just seen that movie so many times honey. It's nothing personal."
I knew she was right and I stopped acting like a little kid.
"What then?" I asked.
"Grown ups!" Rocky yelled.
"Scott Pilgrim," Riker said
"Mean girls," Rydel added.
"Batman!" Ryland finished. Everyone realised Kat hadn't said anything and turned to look at her.
"I honestly don't mind. I'd watch any of those movies. You guys decide, I'll be back in a minute, I just need to use the loo." She stood up quickly to leave.

Everyone argued about the movie until I screamed,
"Grown ups!" They all went quiet and nodded their heads.
"Grown ups it is," my Mom said. Rocky grabbed the DVD with a giant smile and put it into the player. Once we'd gone through the ads and pressed play Kat came and sat back next to me. I went to kiss her, but her breath smelled terrible. I jerked my head back and made a disgusted face. She looked a little hurt and checked her breath. She made the same face I had and jumped up heading for the bathroom. I followed curious as to what was happening.

She'd picked up her toothbrush and put some toothpaste on it before brushing her teeth. I stood in the doorway watching her. Once she'd finished she turned around, I had startled her a little.
"What're you doing up here? Why aren't you watching the movie?" She asked as she wrapped her arms around my neck.
"Did you throw up again?" I asked point blank.
"No," her voice went high. A telltale sign she was lying.
"Kat?" I asked in a disapproving way. "Did you?"
"Maybe," she slowly said.
"Why?" I paused. "You are pregnant aren't you?"
