We were both lying there panting, trying to get our breaths back. I was surprised that Ryland was still asleep. Glad, but surprised.
"That was amazing. Can we please not wait so long till next time?" I asked him.
"Isn't it usually the guy who says something like that?" He turned to look at me.
"Yeah, but you got me hooked. It's all your fault I like sex." I said laying on his chest.
"It's your fault we had sex in the first place," he tickled my side for a second.
"Hey you initiated. I was going along with it. Once you started it, there was no stopping."
"You're such a special girl. I can't believe I found you." He kissed my forehead.

"You guys up?" I heard Ry from his bed.
"Yeah mate. We've been up for a while." Ross said.
"Ok, Ross. You've gotta stop saying 'mate'. It's weird" I giggled.
"It's your fault Aussie." he snapped.
"What's wrong Ry? Maya's Aussie too," I was confused.
"I know she's Australian, she's my girlfriend. But she's not the one converting my brother into an Australian." He explained.
"Sorry," I didn't want to get into a fight right now, it was Christmas morning.
"No, it's not your fault. I'm just tired."
"Bro, it's Christmas. Be happy." Ross reminded him. Ryland's face lit up.
"Christmas!" He screamed before jumping out of bed and running out of the room. "It's Christmas! Everybody up!" I heard him yell running down the hall. I looked at the clock and saw it was 7:13.
"Time for Christmas." Ross said to me before getting out of bed.
"It's gonna be weird opening presents without 'Bucko & Champs'." I said following him.
"Who's 'Bucko & Champs'?" I forgot, I'm in America.
"They wrote and recorded my favourite funny Aussie Christmas carols." I laughed remembering all the songs.
"Yeah? What kinda songs?" He asked.
"The most famous one is their 'Aussie Jingle Bells'"
"How does that one go?"

"Umm... oh yeah. Dashing through the bush, in a rusty Holden ute. Kicking up the dust, esky in the boot. And so on."
"Can you sing it for me?" He gave me the puppy dog eyes.
"You don't wanna hear the rest. It's silly."
"I do wanna hear the rest. It's sounds funny."
"I'll just find it on YouTube." I grabbed my phone and typed it in.

*Dashing through the bush
In a rusty Holden Ute
Kicking up the dust
Esky in the boot
Kelpie by my side

It's Summer time and I am in
My singlet, shorts and thongs

The swaggie climbs aboard

All the family's there
Sitting by the pool

By the barbecue!

Come the afternoon
Grandpa has a doze
The kids and uncle Bruce
Are swimming in their clothes
The time comes round to go
We take the family snap
Pack the car and all shoot through
Before the washing up

I had joined in with the singing. I miss listening to that song.
"That was cute. So Aussie. But what's a swaggie?"
I laughed. It was a strange thing to hear if you didn't know what it was.
"It's slang for swagman. An Aussie countryman who travelled around with a swag on his back. They were the ones that would wear the hats with the corks on them," I explained.
"Oh. I thought it might've had something to do with 'swag'."
"Hell no!" I laughed.
"Also what's an esky?"
"There really is a lot of strange Australian words isn't there?"
"Haha, yeah there is. But what's it mean?"
"It's a cooler."
"That's weird."
"That's Australia."
