Birthday Breakfast

Ross' P.O.V.

After I woke Kat up again with the whole 'Superman' thing we sat in the dining room waiting for breakfast. She was so cute in getting me that costume. Even though he's not my favourite superhero, he's her favourite. And I'd like to think that she sees me as him.

My Mom had asked me what I wanted for my birthday breakfast. Of course I answered french toast. Now we were just waiting for her and Dad to finish cooking it. We were all just sitting at the table, making small talk. Rydel and Ratliff were off in their own little world, being all lovey dovey. At first that kind of thing made us get a little mad, but we realised that their feelings for each other went further back than the actual relationship. I noticed the same look that we all had before we realised they were meant for each other, on Riker. Only this time, I caught that look when he looked at us. It was unsettling to me. Something must've happened between Kat and Riker for him to give us that look. Everyone else was happy for us, but he seems to have something against us.

She wouldn't have cheated on my with my brother? Would she? No it must've been something else. But what? Right then I was nudged. I looked to my right and saw Kat looking at me.
"You ok?" She asked.
"Oh yeah. Haha. Just thinking."
"About what you wanna do today?" I decided not to bring up what I was actually thinking about.
"Yes actually. You know me too well."
"Yea, yea, sure Ted." She said in a heavy Australian accent. I looked at her puzzled.
"Heh, don't worry. So what do you wanna do today?" Everyone else heard her question and turned to hear my answer.
"Yeah bro. Do you wanna have a family day out. Or do you wanna spend all day in your room, with Kat, and the door locked." Rocky inferred. I saw Kat go bright red.
"Guys! No. Why would you even bring that up?"
"Because we've all heard you at some point. You know you're not really as quiet as you think." Ryland informed me. I blushed along with Kat.
"Ok. Ok. Can we just stop with this dirty talk?" I asked them all.
"Fine. Fine." Rocky smirked, knowing he'd gotten to me.

"I think I'd rather have a nice day at home with you guys. Maybe some gourmet sandwiches for lunch," I chuckled.
"Really?" Rydel questioned.
"The family part, yeah. But I don't care about the sandwiches. Haha."
"What about tonight?" Riker asked. I thought for a second. I opened my mouth to say something when Kat beat me to it.
"I've actually got something planned for him tonight guys. Remember Riker?" She urged him. He looked at her the same way, obviously not remembering what she wanted him to. Rydel leaned over and whispered into his ear.
"Oh, right." He said not so thrilled.

"Breakfast!" My Mom exclaimed as she brought in a big plate of french toast. Everyone dug in and finished the plate off in minutes. We sat there with our stomachs full, and unable to move. All of a sudden Kat got up from the table and ran to the downstairs bathroom. I followed her and saw her lean down over the toilet to throw up.
