Going Home

"Have you got everything?" Stormie asked me as I brought my suitcase downstairs.
"I think so. I've still gotta go and double check the bedroom," I told her as I reached the bottom.
"That's ok. Mark'll just pop your suitcase into the car while you do that."
"Thank you Stormie. I'll say thanks to Mark when I get out there," I said heading back up the stairs. I looked under the bed and in the drawers to make sure I hadn't left anything in here then decided to check the bathroom as well.

"What're you doing up here? Shouldn't you be downstairs and putting your stuff in the van?" Rocky asked as he closed his bedroom door.
"Yeah, I'm heading down in a minutes. I was just checking I didn't leave anything behind," I said as I closed the bathroom door as well.
"Ok then. I'll see ya down there."
"Wait. I'm done I'll walk down with you."

I grabbed my handbag from the couch and headed towards the front door as Rocky was hopping into the van. I stopped and looked behind me at the house I'd spent an entire month in with Ross. I'd had a great time here and I wasn't sure how long, if ever, it'd be till I saw it again.

I walked out and jumped into the back of the van beside Ross and Rydel. By the time I settled myself and had gotten my seatbelt on, Mark and Stormie had locked up the house and gotten into the van to head off. It was an hours drive to the airport so Ross, Del and I were watching some videos together on our phones.

I got a bit bored after about twenty minutes, so I put my headphones into my phone and selected the music I'd been craving to listen to right now. 'Sometime Last Night'. I pressed play on my favourite song 'Dark Side', and nestled my head into Ross' chest. He wrapped his arm around me and I got upset (not that I was going to let anyone know). This is one of the last times that I will be in his arms for a while and I didn't want it to end.

By the time we'd reached the airport, I'd gone through their album once and changed to the newest Nickelback album 'No Fixed Address'. We all piled out and I went to the back to grab my luggage. As I was about to lift it out someone else's hand moved mine out of the way and pulled it out. I looked and saw my strong handsome boyfriend smiling smugly at me. I rolled my eyes playfully and grabbed the handle to wheel my bag into the building.

I followed everyone else as they entered, except Ross, who wouldn't let go of my hand. It was still pretty early in the morning and none of us had had breakfast, so we headed for the check in for my luggage, so we could go and get some food afterwards.

"So there's another two hours till your flight takes off. What do you wanna do?" Del asked me as we all sat down with our food. We'd found a nice little cafe to get some breakfast at.
"I just wanna chill with you guys and enjoy the last of the time I have here. But if you guys don't wanna wait that long till I take off I won't mind," I shrugged and dug into my egg and bacon sandwich.
"Of course we'll wait until you have to leave. We don't want you to leave," she reached over and hugged me tight. I just smiled at her and continued eating my breakfast.

For the past two hours the 8 of us have been walking around the airport looking at the little shops and things, and sitting in the chairs and being silly and making jokes together.
"Boarding call for flight 2154 to Brisbane Australia." Was heard over the P.A. and we all stood up.

"Well Kat, we're going to miss you," Stormie said as she leaned in for a hug.
"Thank you Stormie," I pulled out of the hug and turned to Mark. "And you as well Mark," I hugged him and turned to all of my new friends.
"Guys," I managed to get out before I got choked up.
"Aaw, Kat." Del said before she gave a great big bone crushing hug. Everyone else joined in and we had a group hug, while everyone was sobbing.
"I love you guys. Thank you," I wiped my eyes and walked over to hug them all separately.

"Bye Ry. I love you like a brother and I'm so glad you and I are so close now."
"I love you too Kat. Thank you for introducing me to Maya as well." He leaned in to whisper something to me. "Last night we told each other 'I love you'. We're getting serious and it's all because of you," he hugged me again.
"Don't mention it man. I'm just glad you're happy."

"See ya Rocky," I leant up and wrapped my arms around his neck. "I'm gonna miss my tall, crazy, sloth buddy," I playfully punched his arm.
"Heh, I'm gonna miss my little sister too." tears started to come down my face more frequently now.
"You think of me as you sister?" I asked in shock.
"Of course I do. You're Ross' girl and you and I have become so close. Therefore, my only little sister." He laughed. I jumped and hugged him again.
"Thank you. Big bro," I punched his arm again.

"Ell...... my supernatural friend." I opened my arms to hug him.
"Who's gonna be my hunter buddy now," he hugged me and pouted. I grabbed Rydel's shoulder and pushed her into his arms.
"This is your hunter buddy. You two go around hunting ghosts together," I smiled as they hugged. I decided to leave them to it and move on to the next person.

"Riker," he smiled sadly at me. "I'm gonna miss you. From your crazy deceleration of love to our amazing lounge room performances together." We chuckled.
"It's gonna be weird not having you around," he wrapped an arm around and squeezed me tight. "I'm gonna miss you." he kissed my forehead. I just smiled at him and hugged him back.

I stood in front of Ross, just staring into his big sad brown eyes. I started to actually cry now and he just pulled me into him, holding me tight. I sobbed against his chest and he stroked my head, and I felt a wetness on the top of my head. I pulled away and looked up to see that he was crying as well.
"Oh, Ross." I wiped his tears as new ones replaced them. "I didn't die. I'm only flying to Australia. We still have Skype and texting. It's not the end of the world." I chuckled.
"I know. I'm just gonna miss you so much," he pecked my lips.
"Final boarding call for flight 2154 to Brisbane," was announced. I looked over everyone and smiled before I grabbed my handbag and headed to the gate.

"I love you." Ross said to me as I walked through the doorway.
"I love you too!" I yelled back as I headed down the gangway.
