Chapter 34 - The Drama of the Brothers

After almost a week of Cheng now living in the mansion with Zhan and Yibo, after he showed up there 5 days ago in the middle of the night, Zhan and Yibo were running out of breath. After all, the two of them had only just reconciled after their two-week long quarrel and really needed the time to themselves as a couple.

But that's exactly what hadn't been possible, as Cheng took up most of Zhan's free time after work because he wasn't feeling well and simply sought comfort from his big brother. Yibo understood him very well, but still wished that his big brother and Cheng's problems would not be so burdensome to his relationship with Zhan.

Because of the quarrel Zhan and Yibo had, in which both were very hurt, sad and desperate, Yibo still felt insecure and knew that right now he and Zhan should actually spend as much time together as possible and strengthen their relationship with each other again. But on the other hand, he knew that Cheng really needed his big brother right now. Besides, Cheng had been there for Zhan when he was feeling bad.

In the last few days, Yibo also sometimes felt like he had been excluded and sidelined, which wasn't the case, but Yibo still felt that way. And he got a guilty conscience every time he saw the sad Cheng, even though it was completely nonsensical, of course. Because it was Yibo's big brother, of all people, who was to blame for Cheng not being well.

Just last night, he had talked to Youn and Wooseok about how uncomfortable he felt around Cheng and how he wished he and Zhan could work on their own relationship instead of focusing on their two brothers' relationship. And he also said that he would prefer, at least as long as Cheng is still around, to live with Youn and Wooseok again.

Youn advised Yibo that he should just talk to Zhan about it instead of keeping it to himself and then possibly provoking another fight. Yibo nodded and said he had intended to do it the night before, but Zhan had no time for him and spent the whole evening listening to his brother. When Zhan finally made it to the bedroom, Yibo hadn't even noticed because he had already fallen asleep.

"So what exactly happened between your brothers?" Wooseok wanted to know, as Yibo was pretty reluctant to reveal information about it.

"Well, when Cheng came to us in the middle of the night, we talked for a long time and were in good spirits that the two of them would work it out on their own. Cheng is actually a pretty strong-willed man who doesn't let himself put up with anything so easily. But the next evening, how shall I say it, my brother had managed with only one phone call to make Cheng completely broken". Replied Yibo.

"And what exactly did your brother say?" Youn wanted to know.

"Well, he said that he was sorry for telling Cheng on the phone, but that he had no choice. He didn't know Cheng was with us. My brother, after Cheng wanted to know what it was all about, said that he spent the night with his ex and "something" happened between them. And my brother also said he was very confused emotionally and didn't know if he might not still have feelings for his ex that went beyond a friendship."

"Oh come on Yibo, are you kidding us? Your brother would never do something like that!" Said Youn in shock.

"Oh yes he did, he said that. And believe me, I was just as shocked as you are now. Damn, my brother of all people would have done that? I mean, my brother? Hello, the guy who thought very carefully about every single step in his life and hates nothing more than lies and cheating?"

Youn nodded, "Yes, that's exactly how I know your brother. He never does anything rash and never acts on emotion. He is a very calm, nice and polite man. But yet not a liar and a cheater."

"And yet he cheated on Cheng with his ex-fiancé."

"I can't imagine that Yibo."

"Neither can I. But, what can I say? My brother himself said it. Cheng had the speaker on, Zhan and I overheard everything."
