They all stared at each other in silence, with no one knowing exactly what to say now. As Verlaine recalled his past with Elisabeth, the pair sat patiently listening but throughout the tale Chuuya's anger was quietly growing until at last it erupted. When Verlaine seemingly tried to excuse his actions, Chuuya couldn't take it any longer and finally lashed out once more at his brother; he scolded him, with his heart on his sleeve, for his inadequacy at informing him on this information before it was too late. The redheads deep words, which were coated with betrayal, struck a deep chord in their victim and their bystander, leaving everyone lost for words. There was nothing that could be said to cheer up or comfort Chuuya, nor was there anything to justify Verlaine's actions so there was nothing to be said, because in the end the words Chuuya had spoken were true. Verlaine should have known better. However there was nothing they could do now, no one can change the past so they all stayed in silence, trying to move the conversation on with actions instead. Dazai was hugging Chuuya tightly, caressing his head in the crook of his neck, providing the very much needed comfort to soothe the emotional pain. As well as holding Chuuya close, Dazai kept his eyes fixed on Verlaine, staring him down like an angered wolf protecting its pup. While Chuuya had his eyes closed focusing on the comfort Dazai provided, he'd be his eyes ensuring no danger or pain could be inflicted further onto his dearest boyfriend. In return Verlaine backed away in shame, knowing that there was no excuse for his actions. It was true that he had constantly been thinking of Elisabeth since her death and had contemplated the idea of her still being alive, just like he had with Chuuya, but he never brought it up or explored the idea further, and it was due to this inadequacy that Chuuya suffered so much unprepared.

Guilt, sorrow, shame: Verlaine stared into Dazai's glaring eyes as he backed away, wallowing in self-pity. He felt utterly ashamed at his own incompetence to live up to the brotherly role. A role he had so desperately craved for. Ever since Rimbaud had saved his life, Verlaine vowed to live on in his old friends name and in doing this he'd look out for Chuuya, being the best brother possible. Over time this vow led to him creating a bond that he treasured and wished to nurture and grow. Verlaine had now wanted the love and care of a family. A family that Chuuya provided, so of course Verlaine tried his best to grow that bond and get to a level where he was trusted. He'd teach his brother every trick and skill he knew and he would train him as best as he could. At first the relationship seemed as just training partners but over time a proper brotherly bond started to grow both ways. Who would've thought that it would be the person that treasured the bond the most to be the one to break it. This filled Verlaine with deep sorrow and self hatred. How could he be careless and damage the one thing he cared about? Verlaine's predicament was at least a bit pitiful for Dazai, considering the fact he left Verlaine wallow in sadness for a bit before he eventually broke the silence.

"What is Total Anarchy then, and what are the requirements to enact it." Dazai pointed out, breaking the silence.

"Huh?" Verlaine sputtered being shaken off guard by the sudden question,

"What is it, after all these years you must've looked into it," Dazai pointed out. As Dazai questioned Verlaine, Chuuya poked his head out from Dazai's hold and stared with curiosity at his brother.

"Yes, not too many years ago did I start to wonder about it and I started to my own research. What I found out was a few hundred years ago there was another person who had Elisabeth's ability and with this ability they could activate a certain thing called Total Anarchy." Verlaine admitted,

"And? Get to the point, answer the question!" Chuuya ordered, tired of his brother wasting time.

"Ok, to put it simply it gives a person to create hell on earth. Who has power who doesn't, who feels pain who doesn't, what places experience natural disasters and what places don't, where there is good weather and when there isn't and so much more. All of that is in the hand of one demented demon and however they mold the world is irreversible." Verlaine revealed in serious tone, adoring a similar disgusted face. A face filled with such disgust and despair that can only be formed from seeing such horrendous and unforgiving things.
