Everybody stared at Dazai who was cradling Chuuya delicately in his arms. He stared back at the others pleading with his eyes for help. He had run out of the hospital as if his life depended on it. Chuuya's breathes were growing further apart and his pulse was growing fainter, if Dazai was any slower he would lose him. He finally made it to the Agency but he didn't know what to do now. He just stared back at the others. The room was silent except for noise of the droplets of water escaping out of Dazai's eyes against his will; he never wanted to appear vulnerable (something he and Chuuya had in common) but he's become more open with his emotions since joining the agency and in a situation like this he can't stop the waterworks in front of his friends. In his arms currently was the most important person in his life and that person would no longer be in his life soon if something didn't happen quick. Dazai looked broken. He was a tear-stained mess and the sight of him in this condition hurt his friends. He was filled with fear and desperation all things no one had seen in Dazai before so there was some hesitation from the others in how to react. However, they didn't want to see their friend hurt either.
Only a matter of seconds had passed since Dazai stormed in but it felt like an eternity had gone by. It wasn't long till Yasano ran out of her office, alerted initially by Dazai's cry for help, to be greeted by a crying Dazai however once her eyes glanced over the cause of those tears she jumped into medical mode. Instantly, she switched from confused to serious ordering the others around snapping them out of their frozen state. While she barked orders around, Dazai just watched the chaos around him unfold by the lead of Yasano and the whole time he gripped onto Chuuya tighter not wanting lose him. This tight hold of the gravity manipulator made it slightly difficult for Yasano to get to her patient in order to heal him. After a minute of consideration she came to the conclusion that it'd be impossible to pull Chuuya away from Dazai clutches while he was in this condition, so instead she resorted to grabbing Dazai by his coat and pulling them into the infirmary. There, thankfully, Dazai released his grip on Chuuya resting him gently on one of the beds. He stood back and wiped his eyes and allowed himself to relax because everything will be alright now. His heartbeat regulated and all tension left his body as he watched the familiar butterflies of Yasano's ability get to work healing Chuuya.

Softly, Dazai threaded his fingers through Chuuya's hair as he watched over the ginger who was still unconscious on the infirmary bed. Dazai had sat by Chuuya's side now for about an hour since Yasano healed him and he has yet to wake. Once she healed Chuuya, Yasano left to deal with the others leaving him alone with Chuuya- something he was perfectly fine with. There had been many times in Soukoku's long shared past when Chuuya ended up hospitalised after using corruption so waiting next to him still seemed normal like it was still part of his routine. Sadly, Dazai had such big pride and stubbornness back then that he didn't always stay till Chuuya woke up leaving him none the wiser to the fact that Dazai actually cared. Now sitting here stroking the chibi's head after a lot has changed he kinda wishes he stayed till the end to be greeted by Chuuya's feisty attitude that he loved so much. It had been so long since the two of them had spent time together and he regretted to admit that he missed it.
Knowing there might not be another chance, Dazai makes sure to enjoy and soak up every second with Chuuya holding each moment for as long as possible slowly adding them to his memory bank of his former partner. He continued to thread his fingers through the ginger locks committing to memory how they felt against his hand. They were silky and comfy and somehow made him relax by just running his fingers through the miracle working hair that sprouted from one very amazing slug. Gradually his hand moved down through Chuuya's silky locks to reach his cheek. Gently his hand stroked against the soft skin feeling a bit of glee at the fact that Chuuya still takes care of himself to the extent of an excellent skin care routine if he doesn't say so himself. Dazai never really took care of himself when he was in the Port Mafia(he still doesn't that much but he's trying now) so when he asked Chuuya why he did, he pointed out: "Well one of us has to shitty mackerel!", which always made him laugh and makes him glad that that part of Chuuya remained after he left. Dazai's mind started to go through a little rampage of Chuuya memories that he connotated with the chibi infront of him. For example, Chuuya was still strong and temperamental just as he was when they first met at 15. He'll never forget how Chuuya slammed him against the wall when they first met, only to follow that with a kick to the head if he hadn't already suffered enough. His partner was extremely loyal and prideful something Dazai always admired of Chuuya. A meaningful smile rested on his face as he ventured deeper through his memories.
