Chapter 23 Wait and See

Rakol sat on his throne, the throne of his kingdom, his Empire if you will, that was what he called it all of the time. He sat there looking out, they had already taken two from him he wouldn't let them take another, what about the twins, this was something that he thought that they could handle, where they up to it?

He called to them and they came to him and knelt, what was he having them do? "My children, I have something for you to do that others couldn't complete, do you think that you could for me?" The girl nodded this was something that she wanted, she wanted to get out of this place and get away from everything, if killing was that ticket out then she would take it. "I will take it, Milord." she said, and her brother looked at her, was she crazy they had only met this guy a few months again and she was willing to do anything for him? "Thank you, Liethra you are well beloved and will find a place in my kingdom." Lia looked at her brother, what was he going to choose? Rakol looked at her brother and stepped towards him and smiled "I will show you things that you want...Kii, you are a strong man and that must not get in the way of what is important, what will you choose?" Kii looked at his sister who nodded at him. "I will do it." he said and then looked at Lia and then at the other Fallen in the room, why did he choose them and not one of the others? Was it because they would be able to get into their heads and get them to trust them more than the others? That was what she wanted to know but their leader wouldn't tell them that so she stayed quiet and went to her room, they would leave in the morning to find the seven travelers. Rakol looked out of the window, since Teloki betrayed them then Kalia did as well then there was no one that he trusted more than the twins, they would be able to get into their heads and wear them out before they got to him and then he would do his job and then they would be done with the five nations and they would all rule under him and he would have all of the power and that was just what he wanted. What would they do if Cinder and the others came and destroyed them once and for all? This was his time and he wanted to get rid of them but where they? He couldn't find them and that was a bad thing, what was he going to do? Kelly and the others looked at Cinder and kept walking, when would they get to Rakol? What would meet them once they got to the place that Rakol was, what would he say to them? Cinder let her fire die down and nodded to Tayrah to take a turn, for some reason using her power here drained her and she couldn't figure out why, the others were having a hard time too, their powers were being drained while they were here, they had to get to Rakol and unite them and then get out, they didn't know how long this would last but it was worth a try. Cinder and the others noticed that nothing grew here, what had happened, was Rakol so cold hearted that he didn't want life and light? Why was he doing this to them, torturing them until there was nothing left, they had to find out what he was doing and fast.
