Chapter 34- Trial

Cinder looked at the others, this was not what they wanted, they wanted him to give himself up willingly so that they wouldn't have to fight him. That was what Cinder wanted, but would it actually work? What will we do? She thought and looked at her brother, Ash smiled and hugged her. "We will be fine, sis." he said and went to wake the others. Cinder watched him leave and felt as though her whole world was falling apart. They had to stay together, they had to get home and see that everything was ok. As she watched the flame leap up into the star dusted sky she sighed, there was one thing that they didn't know that she could do and now was not the time to tell them. Tayrah, Nathan, Kelly and Ash were her friends but this one was one she couldn't tell them, not now at least, after Rakol and all of the pain was past then maybe she could tell them, but right now they were all too busy with things and she knew they all needed sleep for what was coming next, they had to find Kelly and try to get her to leave Rakol ad all of those bad people and come back to them and fight him together, but where was she and what was she doing? Would she want to come back after Teloki and Cinder were together? Cinder knew that Kelly had liked Teloki and now that he was with Cinder instead of Kelly what would she do to them for what they had done to her?

Teloki looked at Cinder from across the firelight and frowned, she was slowly dying from everything that she had to do and that was not what he wanted. Once they killed Rakol and his followers then they could rest, and he would be able to look at her again with a new light and be able to love her like he was supposed to. For now, he watched her, the fire inside her was stronger now and he didn't want it to overpower her, like it was told it did to some people and that was always a sad story, he didn't want that to happen to her.

Suddenly as they sat there in the coming darkness, Teloki heard something and stood slowly.

"Teloki?" Cinder asked her voice full of fear, "It was nothing, Dear I think it is time to go to bed, how about you go and lay down, I will wake you if anything happens." Cinder nodded and looked at Ash, Nathan and Tayrah, who all nodded at her, Tayrah stood and came with her into their tent and together they started to get undressed.

Cinder wondered what Teloki meant when he had said that he would let her know if anything had happened during the night, and why had he sent Tayrah to sleep with her and he go and sleep with the boys, were they hiding something from her?

Tayrah looked at her and nodded to the bed. "Let's go to bed and try to sleep, Ash said it would be a long night, with all of the Shadows out."

Cinder nodded and crawled into the bed next to her, it took her awhile to get to sleep but when she did, she felt as though it was only for a few minutes, truly it was a few hours, she could hear yelling. ".... I know what I did was wrong, but just let me talk to her.... she would.... Don't!" A terrified scream came from the other side of the tent and Cinder bolted upright. "...no, you are not coming here, after everything you did to her... to us. Leave Kelly..."

Cinder blinked, "Kelly?" she whispered and said it louder "Kelly?" until she was yelling. Bolting out of the bed she busted out into the cold night.

Kelly stood there, wrapped in a rope infused with wind "Ash...stop!"

Her brother looked at her and frowned "Kelly!" he said, and she nodded. Kelly bowed her head to Cinder and noticed Tayrah behind her. "Hi ...I.." she bowed her head and fell silent. "Why are you here?" Tayrah asked the question that was in Cinder's head.

"Rakol banished me.... After I said that I didn't know where you were, I suffered from his hand long enough ...I want to help." Cinder nodded "are you sure?" "yes, I know what I did was wrong, but I want to make amends and Help you defeat him."

"Come inside... You must be cold." Cinder said and sent some heat to wrap around Kelly, who nodded her thanks, unable to talk anymore because of the cold.

Ash and the others looked at Cinder and followed them to one of the larger tents, keeping an eye on Kelly.

Once they were all there, Kelly sat down on the rug and waited for them to say something. Tayrah looked at her and sighed "Why did Rakol kick you out?"

Kelly shook her head, "Please, don't have me talk about that, he did things to me that I would rather not talk about." Tayrah nodded and looked at Cinder. Why should they trust her? She was the one that wanted to leave. Cinder knelt next to her. "Kelly..." Kelly looked at her "Tell me why you are here, should we trust you?
