Cinder watched as the others came next to her, when had they gotten there, she had been with Rakol and now he was gone and instead there stood her friends and they were all looking at her like she had been taken by the Fallen like Kelly had been, Cinder looked out over the water and saw that something was coming their way, what was it? Should they run, or see what was it was? Kelly looked at Cinder who nodded, suddenly without warning the boat was at the shore and they were peering at what was inside, it was a creature, but it was not like the ones that they had seen recently, it was a Monkey, a Akii a small brown hand raised and they lifted it out of the boat and laid it on the ground, it looked at them and blinked like they had just woken it up from a nap what would they do with it, they couldn't leave it here for the Fallen to get, but how would they carry it, it was the size of a seven year old child but its eyes showed that it was much older than that, did it have a name? Where was it from and why had it come to them? Cinder watched as it stood and stared to walk towards her, what was it, why was it here? Tayrah went over to it and looked at it and it shuffled away from her looking at them wondering why they had saved him. Cinder went over to him and asked for his hand, he looked at her and took her hand and he stood. "What is your name?" Cinder asked, the animal... at least she thought it was an animal whispered "Mikol." Cinder smiled "Is that your name?" he nodded and smiled back. he had found a friend, that was good, what would they do with him? Would they take him with them? Or would they leave him there to die? That had been his lot in life, he had been chosen to be sacrificed to their master, this was not what he wanted, he had to get them away! The Fallen had tortured him more than anyone that he had been with, and that was one thing that he didn't want to happen again if he could help it, he had to stay with them and that was all that he knew right then, but they acted like they would bring him along wherever they were going, and that's fine with him. As long as they would protect him and if he could trust them then he was in good hands, Cinder and the others started walking and Mikol turned away from the life that had shadowed him longer then he imagined it would, this was a new life and he was willing to try, that was all that he could promise them was that he would try.
