The next morning Cinder woke up and saw that the maid hadn't lit the fire yet, this was a perfect opportunity to try it out and see how it all worked. Cinder looked around her and smiled this would be fun and she knew it. And so she put out her hand and smiled she would lite the fire and that was that. She visioned fire and suddenly her hand got warmer and warmer until she opened her eyes and saw that a living flame was in her hand ready to be used. This was so cool, Keld had the language of fire back and that was all that they needed to get back where they were. What they needed to get back on the map of the world that they knew. She would teach them how to use and conjure a flame from nothing. And then they might be ready. Cinder looked out of her window and saw that the sun was up and peaking over the mountains to the east. That was Mampar territory and that was where she was going to go first. She would see if they had a person that held onto the old ways and knew the language of the earth and she would do that to all of the others as well, what if the shadow-hunters came back and destroyed them? The five nations of Anamara would have to unite and fight together, together they would survive. If they didn't do it then all that they held dear would be gone forever. They had to fight and get what they wanted back, freedom! Cinder would show her father and brother what she could do and see if she could teach some of the children as well, maybe then they would be ready to listen to what was happening and what was out there coming for them, they had to be ready for what was to come. Cinder went out into the hall and down to the throne room where her father was with her brother. They both looked at her as she came in and then went back to their conversation. Cinder stood tall and sighed this was for the best. She closed her eyes and the image came to mind, she heard a crack and then the heat next to her. King Ky and Hunter stopped talking and looked at her "Cinder, there is fire!" Hunter said Cinder smiled "yes. father we can learn it again it is possible and it is needed." Ky looked at his daughter and frowned this was not what he wanted for her, for her to have the burden that Grace had and that he thought that she died from. how would she go and get them to listen to her? They had their own leader and their own rules about outsiders, how would she be treated? She was the daughter of the king but would they not take that into effect? Cinder looked at her father and saw that he was frowning, she went to him and knelt before him "father you seem sad?" King Ky looked at his daughter and reached down and took her hand "when did you learn this? he asked this morning I learned how to make it go where I want, but I am not as good as..." she stopped and saw that her father was looking at her "I am sorry I didn't mean to say..." "it doesn't matter." Cinder looked at the fire that she had made and then looked at her brother how was he taking this all? Hunter looked at his father and then at his sister, their mother and wife had just died and they were toying around that his sister had the language of fire, the language that had been lost from them for centuries. Why had she not told him about it, she told him about everything, why not about this? Was she ashamed about that she knew about Fire? He looked at her she didn't seem confused or ashamed about it at all she seemed pleased about it. Why? Cinder looked out of the window and then looked at her father "Father, I was wondering if now that you know about my power that I could tell others about it? And maybe teach them as well it is well past time for this to be revealed to the rest of Keld." Cinder waited for her father to know what she had said, King Ky nodded his head and looked at her with a smiled for the first time since Grace died "My daughter I have never rejected you anything before, and I will not do so now, if you wish to do that then you may and your brother may help you with whatever you wish of him." Cinder nodded her head and went out of the room, she had her wish, she would start immediately but the question was who would attend and what she would teach them? She had no clue how this would turn out. But one thing that she did know was that she would be learning with them and she would learn new things that she didn't know from the book, the book she would start there and then work her way up. She was the daughter of the king and so that gave her some power but other then that, they would have to come on their own. Where were the shadow-hunters that was what she wanted to know, how would they know if they were here yet? She needed a way to go and alert all of the nations of what was to come, if she went and made friends with someone from each of the nations then they would be able to tell her what was going on and if they needed help yet yes that was what she was going to do, but first she had to find people here that wanted to learn. That would be hard, the ones that she would have to recruit where the young kids and children because they would be able to retain the information easier and they would learn faster that way. Cinder looked at the wall, how would she tell them about it and would they come? She went and posted papers all over the castle saying what she was doing and where they would be meeting, she had little heart that this would work, but when she came back later she was relieved to see that seven people signed up, they would be meeting at the stone building, that way if something went wrong then they would not be in harm's way if it caught fire, nothing would burn and they would be safe. Cinder looked at the list and saw that her brother had signed up and her best friends Hanna and James had as well, that was great. They would start training that day they couldn't waist a day because they could be closer than they were yesterday, they could be moving closer. Where would they be if they came at night? They could all have been dead, they needed this. Later that day when she went into the room they stood ready for what she was going to teach them? she looked at them, why her? She wondered, and then she remembered, because she was the only one that knew the language of the element. She was the most qualified to do it, she didn't think so. The other people that came where two boys named Tanner and Clay and two other girls Jess and Lilly. They where none of the children that she knew, that was good because then it would be easier and they would not know that she was just learning herself as well. She stood at the front of the room and addressed them Hello, I am Cinder. they looked at her and smiled that made it easier for her and she stood taller today we are going to learn how to conjure fire from the air... they looked at her waiting for her to do it. She raised her hand as she spoke. you need to get the heat into your body become aware of it all around you heat is the heart of the world. When you have done that try to capture it into your hand, try to see the fire on your hand, when you have done that much the rest will follow. Cinder looked about so far so good she thought. She looked around and saw that they were catching on quickly, Hunter could conjure a small flame on his fingers. He looked at her and she nodded. The girls where doing OK but Tanner couldn't do it, Clay was trying and could come up with sparks. Tanner looked at her and she went over. "it is like this." she spoke loud enough so that everyone could hear "it is like a dance, you must feel it and let your body do the rest, you mind has almost no part in what happens." they looked at her and she demonstrated what she meant. She started moving and sparks flew from her hand and then the fire started and ran out of her and onto the floor bending and twisting with her as she moved. When she had everyone's attention she made it move toward them. Cinder stopped and the fire went out and onto the floor and stayed there lite and bright. "That is the first lesson." she said. They left and Cinder wondered if she was doing the right thing? Would this be the beginning of something that would be able to keep throughout the years? Would the keep it or would this all be for nothing? She would soon find out about it.
