CHAPTER 19-SIBLINGS

Cinder and Teloki went to the others and told them where they were going, careful to keep out of earshot of the shadow-hunters. Was this really what they wanted? To stay hidden from the dangers of the world that they had come to know when they found out that they were Children of the Stars? Cinder looked out at the sky and wonder were this would take them. Cinder looked out over the land, this was were they belonged and no one or anything would tear them apart, they would be with each other till the end. The five went to a camp sight and Cinder and the others started collecting firewood. Ash took off his cloak hood and started to make the pieces float towards the place where Cinder was about to light the fire she sat down next to Ash and he made sure that it stayed in the fire pit. Suddenly the fire sparked up right in their faces and Cinder found everyone else standing on the other side of the fire staring at them. "What are you staring at?" Ash asked, and then looked at the fire. "It is just where it is supposed to be...Guys?" Nathan looked at Cinder and then at Ash "Guys, you two... look alike." Cinder looked at Ash but the fire had gone back down to reguler and his face was in shadow. Nathan started walking towards them and as he did Cinder stood concerned "Nate, what is wrong." Tayrah asked. Nathan looked at her "Don't you see it!?" he asked. "No what are you looking at?" Kelly asked looking at him weird "So... no one else sees what i am seeing about Ash and Cinder? AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT SEES THAT THEY..." he looked at the others and shook his head.

"What are you trying to say?" Cinder said. Looking at him like he was crazy. "What do you mean, i don't have any other family, besides my mother and father, i am an only child, you have to be wrong." Nathan looked at Ash and then at Cinder and sighed, they didn't see it but he did and that made him mad. How could they not see it? Cinder made her wings come out and she turned to stare at Nathan. What was he getting at? Natan couldn't bear it any longer and yelled out "You two are siblings... maybe even twins.!" he said and looked at the others. Cinder made the fire brighter and as it glowed on the two of them she gasped, it was true... Ash did look like her, what was going on? Was it true. Cinder turned to the others and then at Ash "How long have you known?" she asked him, he looked at her and shook his head "I never knew, no one ever said anything in the Air Nation and you never mentioned it while we were going to get the others." Cinder stood and went around the fire to Tayrah "what does this mean?" she asked scared.

Tayrah looked at her and smiled gently "it means that you and Ash were separated at birth... that is the only explanation that i can think of." Cinder looked at her and shook her head "that couldn't happen.. My mom was.... I don't remember her." Ash looked at her and nodded. "I see it now." he said and looked at Tayrah "you were right.... But how did it happen?" he asked looking from Tayrah to Cinder hoping that she knew what was happening, but she looked just as confused at he did. Ash looked away from her and looked at Teloki "what about the tower of Glass?" he asked "were we not going there in the first place?" Teloki nodded but didn't look at him, instead looked out into the forest, what did he think was out there? Was it going to hurt Cinder? Or any of the others? Teloki went over to Tayrah. "Draw the light into yourself, we must have no light while we travel." Tayrah nodded but didn't say anything and suddenly the whole group was plunged into darkness. Cinder looked at Teloki, what was he doing? He looked at her and nodded "Trust me." he said and Cinder nodded hoping that he was right, if he was not then they would all die and she didn't want that to happen. Teloki started to walk away, towards the forest. Ash looked at him and then at Cinder who had stood and was starting to walk with him. What was going on?
