Chapter- 27 Memories

Cinder looked out over the water. Was this being she was supposed to be? She looked up at the now red sky and wondered why she was there? This was not her room, she didn't know where she was. What had brought her here? Was there some reason that she was here without anyone? Suddenly she heard a sound like nothing she had ever heard before and she turned towards the sound wondering why and what it was she had heard? Who was showing her this? Was it Rakol? What was going on? She looked down at herself and noticed she was not wearing her own clothes. But a long silvery nightgown. What was going on? Cinder looked over the valley this was not where she was supposed to be. She looked around and realized were she was, the Shadow Realm!!! Cinder started to panic and realized that there was only Shadows all around her and they morphed into her friends. What was going on? Why was this happening? What had they done wrong? Cinder looked at her friends and then at Teloki, he was her everything, what was going to happen? Suddenly one of them grabbed her and she felt shooting pain up her arm, and she yanked her arm from its grasp and looked around. There was nothing there. What was happening? Was it Rakol? Why was be doing this? Cinder looked up and shuttered, they were back! She started to panic, they were all around her. She looked around trying to say this was nothing but a dream! Yes, this was all just a dream! It was not real! What was she going to do? She had to get out! Suddenly she felt a push and a hand reach out to grab her and there was none of the pain that was before. Where was she going? Cinder looked around her and saw Ash lying next to her, his hand on her arm. She looked at him and he turned his head towards her and smiled. "Are you ok?" Cinder gasped as she stood up, the ground around her was charred and black. What had she done? What had they made her do? That was the question that she wanted to know, but were the others? Ash was there beside her but besides him, she didn't see the others anywhere. Cinder wondered where she was, what was happening, she had been in a memory and now she was back, who was showing her this? It was not Rakol, she knew that for sure. But then who was messing with her mind? Cinder looked around her and sat up, Ash sat there staring at her, she gave him a weak smile and he smiled back. "What happened?" she whispered, scared of her own voice. Ash looked at her and frowned. "Do you not remember?" Cinder shook her head and tried to stand. "I wouldn't do that if i were you." Cinder looked at him and shook her head. "Why?" she asked looking at him. She looked at him and then down at herself and gasped, what had happened in that memory? Cinder looked around and shook her head, clearing her vision, where was she? Ash was here, but what about the others? Where were they?

What had happened, she remembered vividly where she was.

Suddenly Cinder grabbed Ashes arm in a death grip. "We have to get out of here!" she almost yelled but she knew her eyes said it all. He stood and grabbed her hand and started to drag her to the left. "Where are we going?" she said not seeing why he was holding her right hand and not her Left, he usually held her left one, why was he not? What was wrong? Suddenly they stopped and Cinder collapsed, and Ash fell besides her. "A... Ash, what is wrong with me?" Ash looked at her and shook his head "That... that is not for me to say." "I woke up and Fire... Fire was everywhere." she grabbed onto him "Please, Brother, i need to know what...did...i...do?" she saw that his head rose at the word brother and she smiled Ash looked at her and sighed "You had a nightmare, the Fallen... they got to you before i could and made you see things... things even i can't explain, when i went to wake you burned, Everything, i tried to stop you but..." He stopped and looked at his hand. Cinder looked at it as well, it was somewhat black. Just like the ground.

Tears came to her eyes and she felt herself getting out of control and then Nathans' arms came around her. "Shh... calm down we don't need that here." Cinder nodded and then felt familiar arms around her it was Teloki, and she sighed in relief this was who she wanted at the moment, he would take her away and then they would go back to the Fire Realm and it would be ok, why even was she here? She didn't remember why they had come, this was the Shadow-Realm but why was she here? Ash looked at her and smiled, at least she was not still in the dream state, as the Council called it. "Where are we?" she asked Ash frowned "we are in the Shadow-Realm.' and then he smiled 'we are almost done with our quest." Cinder smiled back and tried not to look at her surroundings, she had done this and that was not who she was, she was not a murder. Ash looked at her and helped her to her feet, were would this take them? They were on unfamiliar territory and this was a battle that they had to win. This was where it all counted.
