Cinder looked up, where was everyone? "Ash? Come out and go north away from the tents about a half a mile, I need you guys...like now!" She sent that out and looked at her sister who had drawn a sword etched with silver vines throughout the blade and Cinder gasped. Ember grinned wickedly "What, you didn't think that I didn't go back after the fire and dug up everything I could find that would be of worth?" Cinder felt sick. That sword had been their mothers, it had been hidden in the cellar in a chest that was made of dragon scales, so that It wouldn't burn or get wet and mildew. "W...Why do you have that?" Cinder asked. Ember smiled and raised the sword looking at it. "I didn't think mother would have minded, she did leave it for her daughters, didn't she?" Ember asked.

Cinder shook her head "This is not what she would have wanted you to do with it." She said. Ember slashed it through the air making the metal hiss in the water she laughed "...and what would you have known about what she would have wanted, you left before she died, on your silly quest..." Cinder's eyes widened "She died?" she whispered. Ember smiled and nodded "A little while after you left, she took her last breath, she told me that I was to find you and kill you for what you did to her..." Cinder shook her head "THAT IS A LIE!" she yelled and went silent. Ash had sent her a message saying that they where just a few feet away and it took all of Cinders' will power not to look in their direction, instead she turned to her sister.

Ember looked around and walked away towards the buildings and said over her shoulder "You where always too weak...even when we where children." Cinder watched and suddenly Ember looked behind a tree and grabbed something, well not a something, but a someone. "Kelly!" Cinder said and looked at her. Ember laughed. "Looks like she couldn't stay away." "Let her go, Ember, this is between you and me, she has nothing to do with this." Cinder said. Ember laughed again. "She has everything to do with this, she was the one that betrayed me... betrayed us, let us get ride of her once and for all!" Cinder shook her head and walked towards Ember. "Don't you will not be able to undo this one, like that time, all of those years ago." Cinder whispered. Kelly was looking at them and shaking. This was not what she wanted, and she struggled against Embers grip. "Ember, let me go, I will fight with you." She tried. Ember shook her head and kept her eyes fixed on Cinder. "Help!" she thought and started to cry.

Suddenly a noise caused Ember and Cinder to look up and Cinder couldn't help but smile. Ash and the others stood a few feet away weapons drawn. "Let her go!" Nathan yelled and he started walking towards them and stopped next to Cinder "What is the plan." He whispered to her and the others walked up to stand next to them as well. Ember shook her head "You really think that I would believe that you would want her back, after everything she put you through?" she said. Ash shook his head "Let her go, or you will die." Ember hissed and morphed the shadows around her, Tayrah hissed and closed her eyes and a ball of light exploded around them, disbanding the shadows with a pop.

"Impressive....' Ember said and released Kelly but kept hold of her wrist. 'but there is something else that I think I can get at that will make this more believable..." before anyone could do anything, she pushed Kelly towards them, and Ash caught her and held her shaking form in his arms. "You ok?" he whispered. She nodded and at the sound of a scream and a whimper he turned back to Ember and he glared.

A young girl about the age of 12, with the same honey blond as Ash's and a light tan dress stood clasped in Ember's arms. "I say that this is a fair trade... the elemental for a little girl that no one wants, I found her lost in the woods and want to give her a home."

Cinder watched Ash and saw that his eyes had hardened, and he looked at Ember. "What are you doing?" he asked. Ember looked at him and Cinder could feel that she was wondered what he meant by that. "Take your hands off of her!" Ash said with malice in his voice. Ember looked at him and smiled "Oh... is she someone that you know.?" Ash looked at Cinder "My sister... Hanna." He told her. Cinder looked at him and wondered what they would do, they had to give Ember something, or war would come. Ember looked at them, this was just what she wanted. "What do you want, Ember?" Cinder asked. Cinder watched her eyes move to her and she sighed, this was something that she didn't know would work but right now, she had to focus on getting Hanna away from her.
