Chapter-31- War part 2

Rakol looked at her and she turned from him and the barrier broke, Teloki and the others raced to her side and Fallen started disappearing. Cinder watched as fire started to burn those around her, she kept the others out of her line of fire. It wasn't their turn to die yet, Cinder looked at Rakol. "It's OVER!! We won and Your followers are gone, you have nothing left and we have the higher ground." Rakol looked at her, his eyes flashing "You dare challenge me Child?" Cinder nodded and noticed that Teloki had come and was standing next to her and she turned and looked at him.

"We are here for you." he said nodding behind him, Tayrah and the others came forward. "We will fight him together." Nathan said, "and whatever he throws at us." Tayrah said. Cinder looked at her friends with a tad bit hope in her stance, they would stand by her through this battle and that was what she needed to know. They couldn't do this alone, each of them had a power and they had to work together like they did in the safehouse when they first started out on this mission. Teloki looked at Cinder and found that her hands were strangely going in and out of focus. Why was this happening, was this the result of her changing, or of her world changing? He looked at the others and wondered if they felt the change too? Cinder looked out over the land that she had come to love and wondered if it would ever be the same ever again. So far that was not going to happen anytime soon that was for sure.

Suddenly without much warning but a loud howl the Shadows started coming at them again. Cinder took a step forward but gasped as pain enveloped her, this was like nothing that she had ever experienced before. What was happening? Teloki and Kelly came to her sides and supported her so that they had her between them. As she looked around, she could feel someone looking at her and she pushed everything else away and then all she heard was a voice.

It was not loud, but it was firm. "Hello Cinder." "Who are you?" "I am your best dream but also your worst nightmare... do you know who i am?" "No... tell me." "I am the beginning and the end, i though you for one would have recognized me how sad that your senses have gone dull, do you like what i have done to your land to make you see what you have done to me." "Who are you?" "Well. if you must know i am the Ultimate." Cinder looked at the person in front of her, it was neither male or female and that confused her. "You are wondering why you can't feel my heat?" Cinder nodded "Some are just hard to read." she said "Very well, but yes i am the one that started the universe. I am the one that put this power inside of you, and those i have chosen will kill you. Once you are not needed." Cinder shook her head "Wait you said when i am not needed, what do you mean?" "Oh, little one you don't know when to quit do you?" "Never" "well if you must know i am here to make sure that my plan is complete and to make sure that you and your friends are off the face of the realm."

"What is your name?" Cinder asked and the figure shook its head "Now, that would be interesting wouldn't it?" Cinder nodded and wondered why "the Ultimate didn't have a human shape and then looked around, all around her was fire, she shouldn't have been scared but she was. This was not like what she was used to, she was able to control the fire most of the time but this fire she had no control over.

Suddenly without warning the fire burned her skin and she howled at the immense pain it gave her. Ash and the others looked at them unable to help in any way, why was he doing this to her? The Ultimate looked at her and grinning came close to her ear "You will never defeat my son." she said in a whisper so that the others wouldn't hear them. "You have no idea what i could do to you." Ultimate said her eyes narrowing. Cinder looked at the others, but they stood frozen not sure what to do. The Ultimate smiled. "I was born way before your time, i know things you would never dream about." Cinder wondered how this was happening. Suddenly a horn shattered the silence and Ultimate said one word "Rion." and disappeared silently into the mist. Cinder collapsed to the ground and looked around the others were coming towards her and Teloki was the first by her side.

"You Ok?" He asked. Rion looked at them and smirked this was what she wanted, for them to be in pain and to know what it had been like to know heartache and torture, once she was done with them, they wouldn't survive her son at all and then she would rise and take their land for her own. Cinder looked around and found out that nothing had changed, everything was just like it was before it all happened. What did Rion want? Teloki smiled at her "Let's go to the tent and get you some sleep." Cinder nodded and slumped against him, it was so cold, and she wondered where they were going? Teloki went over to the cliff and yelled down, when Cinder looked over all she saw was darkness and Fallen were everywhere and as Cinder clutched onto Teloki's arm he went towards it, they went to center of the storm and Teloki landed, stumbling with the extra weight.

Cinder gasped and realized that her eyes were open, but it looked like they weren't, were they? Suddenly a Dark voice came into her mind "Hello, child."

Cinder suddenly was not in the real world she was in a world of mist. "I knew you would want me one of these days" the voice chuckled, and Cinder felt something touching her. Great she thought this was not what she wanted at the moment, after years of surpassing the voice, as she called it all of those years ago. This was not what she wanted at the moment. "You know why i am here?" Cinder looked around her and noticed that the places she walked wafted up dust and causing her to cough. "Why are you here?" the Voice laughed "Child you are the only one that i can communicate with in this form and soon i will rise again!" Cinder shook her head "Why me?" "You don't know do you, you will destroy your world and keep watch over me as i take your world for my own." Cinder started to shake, she had to get out of this, so she asked another question "What is your name?!" Cinder said into the darkness "You know me, i am the Mother of Shadows... mother of the Fallen chosen vessel to destroy the elements.!" "Kion?" Cinder's mind clicked and she stepped back. "You are the one that took it!" Cinder looked around her and noticed that the sounds of war had come back to her. Suddenly she was thrust out of the Fallen realm and was back on the battlefield. She ducked just as a sword came down on her and she rolled to the side and came up and looked around. Where were Teloki? He had been next to her as she had passed out.

The Fallen were everywhere and she wondered how they would destroy them. She felt as though she had run a mile or two and her head felt light and airy. Suddenly Teloki was there carrying her, her mind was muddled as she tried to figure it out. How has this happened? She had been with Kion and then had come up..." "Wait, where was i?" she asked He looked at her and she could tell he was forcing a smile "Cin... you were standing right here. you were saying some things we didn't understand, something about a person cloud in shadows and about the Fallen."
