Chapter 13-CHOSEN IN CHAINS

Cinder looked up into the sky the next morning and noticed that Teloki was outside her cell. "what do you want?" she asked not wanting him to answer so that she didn't have to see him at all, but he smiled and said what she least expected him to he looked at her and then at her hands not knowing how to start and then nodded at her and whispered so only she could hear "i am ready to make a deal with you and your people." Cinder spat "the Five Nations will never comply with that!" she said but it didn't seem to bother him "No, you see I only want your Nation once I have them then I can take over the rest in a blink of an eye and with you by my side they will come to you and it will be very easy to get them to come and then the others will come as well...do you see where I am going with this?" he asked Cinder nodded even though she didn't know at all where Teloki was going with the conversation that they were having, but she pretended to so that she could have more time to think of a way to get out. He looked at her his black eyes scanning her for any deception at all in her face and as he saw none he continued to talk to her. do you know what we plan to do to your kingdoms? Cinder stayed silent waiting for him to give out some important information and so that she could tell the others. And so she sat silently listening to the Shadow-hunters commander tell her things that she didn't even know, little did he know was that all four of the other stars could hear what he was saying too. "I could be a king of all of the Nations, not just my own, and with you by my side I would have no problems on loyalty you could just burn those who don't come and then that would be the end of them once and for all and we could ALL have peace and harmony." he waited for Cinder to say something and smiled at her "Do you think that I am going to come and stand by your side as you destroy all of the nations my friends? I will never come with you and the Fire Nation will NEVER EVER come with and agree, you would have to kill us first for that to happen. You think that Fire is a weapon that you can just use me to get what you want? You are wrong, we never use our powers for evil, we use it to help and destroy the evil that has us trapped and that evil is YOU and your Shadow-hunters, if you think that I will come and stay by your side you are wrong you would have to kill me first to get me to do that!" she spat at him and waited for him to say something, but he stayed silent and looked at her. is that really what you want? he asked and she looked away. Teloki stood and sighed "this is not what I wanted for you, but it is the only way..." He nodded at two guards who stood outside her door and they came in and took her by the arms and pulled her out into the sunlight, she blinked and saw that they were leading her to a building that was tall and black, what was inside of it? She looked at Teloki but he wouldn't look at her at all and as they got closer to the gate his gaze shifted to her and he smiled just a little, did he care for her? She wondered and then they were inside and he looked at her and nodded at the guards to release her wrists and she rubbed them and looked around, this was a bade training center she knew that, they had something similar back in her own land and so she felt safe here, but then she looked at Teloki and remembered why she was here, she was a prisoner. Cinder looked at some of the weapons on the racks and then at Teloki "what are we doing here?" she asked fearing what his answer would be. "we are here to test you it is nothing evil and I am not going to take your powers, it is just a training session, and you are going to try to disarm me, OK?" Cinder shook her head and looked at him "how do I know that you are not going to try to kill me when I fight you?" Teloki looked around and made sure that no one was around and looked at her "I love you I don't want your powers, but Kivi, Kalia and Ember are working for Rakol, I denounced his leadership a few months ago because he was killing you stars for your power and then leaving you to suffer I want no more in that but I couldn't tell him, I hope that you can forgive me for all that I have done with you and your friends and hope that you will come to trust me." Cinder looked at him and smiled "I think that in time I could do that." she said and hugged him. "are we going to get the others out?" Teloki nodded but then frowned "we have to keep this act up so that they don't think that something is amiss OK, show me your powers." Cinder hesitated and then let it out full force, and sighed she had held it in for so long It felt good to get some out of her at the moment, and she looked at Teloki, he was smiling and watching the door so that no one came in and saw them together and she not his prisoner. Cinder closed her eyes and let her power take control, she went just enough to get it out but not to go Nova, that would be bad and she might hurt someone and she didn't want to hurt Teloki, he had saved her so far and had promised to help her get the others out and away. But would he keep his promise? That's what she really wanted to know. Would he stay by her or would be betray her for Rakol? She looked at him and he smiled, and she decided that he would do anything for her and the others, what had happened to the others? She had not heard anything from any of them for a while and so she tried to contact Ash "Ash, are you there? I found someone that can help us, it is Teloki, he says that he is no longer the one that wants us dead but it is Rakol, he is the enemy and we should he wary of him? If you are there, please answer." Cinder looked at Teloki who nodded his head "I can somewhat hear what you are saying." he said and waited for her to say something "so do you think that Rakol can hear in my mind as well?" she asked afraid now that Rakol would know what she had Teloki where doing. "No I don't think that he will think on it once, because he has your friends, so he is thinking only of them and not you, because you are here with me." Cinder looked at Teloki and said something that she had dared not to a while ago "how old are you?" "18, why?" he said and eyed her "No reason, how long have you been under Rakol?" she said changing the subject. "if I tell you will you promise me you will tell no one" Cinder nodded and took his hand "you can trust me, Teloki." she waited for him to begin and when he stayed silent she looked at him "are you OK?" she asked he nodded but lead her out of the building and to a secret room that was invisible to everyone, even the shadow-hunter on duty didn't see them go in and he was here every day in the same place, when they got in Cinder looked around "what is this place?" she asked Teloki looked at her and smiled for the first time since he had said that he loved her and said in a whisper "this is a place that shadow-hunters could go if they didn't want or didn't like Rakol's rule and they could stay here for however they liked and not even he could find them, it is a secret among us and as he is trying to find you he won't because we all don't want him to know that I t is here, so we are safe here for now and that is a relief." Cinder smiled at him and wondered how the others would take to him changing sides? After Kalia had betrayed them would they be OK with him? He said that he was no longer part of the evil, but was he really and could they trust him? Suddenly she heard something "Cinder, I am here, where are you? I can't find you did you get out of your cell? Come and get the rest of us out. Please." Cinder looked at Teloki and then nodded her head he would help her get the others out, but then he would he branded as a traitor and then where would they be? He would be killed and they would be re-captured and they needed his help "how do we get out of here?" she asked. Teloki looked at her "we are going to save your friends and that is all that we are going to do, whatever happens after we open their cell doors is your fault." Cinder nodded "Fair enough, we have to get going or they will be killed." Cinder looked at the ground and then tried to contact Nathan "Nate, if you can hear me, under each cell is only dirt, you can get out that way and meet us by the training center. OK?, Nathan can you hear me?" when there was no answer she panicked, what if he had already been killed? She hoped not. Cinder waited for a few minutes and then she felt someone touch her and she flinched and turned, it was Ash! "Ash, how'd you get out? Nathan, he dug over to me and lead me out, I don't know about the others though. He only came for me." suddenly Nate's voice came to her head "Hey, yeah, I am out and I got Ash, he should be there with you, Kelly and Tayrah are not out yet and I have not had a chance to get them...I will try to get them out before anyone notices." Cinder looked at the others and saw that they were smiling, they had to get to the forest, that was the safest place for them, because Rakol didn't like it there because of all of the evil that he thought was there, so they would all be safe there for now. Teloki took Cinders hand and whispered in her ear "I am here with you always, I am not going anywhere no matter what!" Cinder smiled at him and Kissed his cheek and then grinned bigger, she liked him. They all were watching for the others when a bright light engulfed them and Tayrah was laying on the ground in front of them, where was Kelly? Cinder looked at the others and together they stepped from the shadows and looked around, in the light they saw Rakol smiling Kelly held by ropes next to him her eyes that of a haunted soul. Ash lunged forward to get her but Rakol yelled "don't move unless you what her to die!" they all stopped. Kelly looked at them, her face very calm and not scared, what was up.?
