Chapter 21
The Harvest Girl
She flipped through the pages of her mother's grimoire, once again. She was beginning to do it, obsessively.
It was properly foolish to sit in the middle of a bar, reading the grimoire, of one of the most powerful witches to ever walk through the town. But, since she discovered it, she had become far too sentimental to let it go.
She looked up to see, a blond bartender, appearing behind the bar, smiling down at her. "Can I get you anything?" she asked. "Glass of wine? You look like you could do with one" she laughed.
Andrea chuckled, knowing it was all too true. "Unfortunately, I can't drink right now" she declared, smiling up at her.
"Surgery?" she asked.
"No" Andrea shook her head, looking down at the small bump, that had formed on her stomach.
The girl suddenly, realised, another smile forming on her lips. "Congratulations" she declared, smiling at her.
"Thank you" she smiled, but she knew, that it was a complete lie. She wasn't thankful. However, she was absolutely, terrified.
"Camille" the girl introduced herself. "But I go by Cami. Camille is a granny name" she said, making Andrea laugh.
"Andrea" she replied, smiling at her. "I don't really go by anything."
The conversation seemed to flow from there, between the two. A human and a werewitch. They didn't have much to relate on, yet, somehow, hours passed and Cami's shift had ended as the sun began to set.
The two of them, were completely unaware, of how similar they truly were.

Elijah sat down next to Andrea offering her a cup of tea, but she refused with a simple shake of her head.
"Tell me about her," Andrea declared. "The harvest girl, I want to know, what she was, before that title was forced upon her."
"She was deceived, by her Coven, into believing the harvest would be a simple peaceful, limbo but it was barbaric -"
"I know what the harvest was" Andrea snapped back. "I asked you who she was before that title was given to her, not how she came to be a harvest witch. I'm all too aware of the barbarity of that ritual. It's horrific" she snarled.
"She didn't tell me" Elijah admitted.
"Maybe you're not so noble after all" she whispered, under her breath. Turning her back to him, and heading out of the living room.
"Why do you hate me so much?" he asked, after her.
"You see me as a saviour" she declared. "You think, that with this child, I'm going to perform some kind of miracle on Klaus, saving him from his own dark self" she ridiculed. "Hate to break it to you, Elijah, but the only reason he even looked twice at me, is because I can be just as bad" she declared. "I'll massacre this whole city if they try and hurt me and this baby."
Elijah watched her, march out of the room, admitting to himself, that, she was telling the truth. Klaus had always been drawn to the darkness of souls, and so far, she had been just as unstable as him.
He had no chance.

Klaus ran a hand through Andrea's hair, smiling to himself until he brushed a piece aside. "What is that?" he asked, catching a glimpse, of her scar.
