Chapter 4
No Matter The Costs
Andrea called Klaus for the third time in an hour, yet, still went to voicemail.
"Klaus, answer your phone for fucks sake. It's about Dahlia, I have a theory" she said, leaving the voicemail behind.
A cry fell from Hope's lips as she rushed over to her side. "It's okay" she hushed her. She picked her up, cradling Hope in her arms. "Your alright love" she whispered, as she stopped crying and Hope's head fell onto her chest. It was a beautiful feeling. "I love you" she whispered.
Hayley left for the Beau the day before to throw Dahlia off. Despite, the ancient witch's persistence that Hope and Andrea would have to leave she knew it was a lie. Over two thousand years of witches were on that very ground, refusing to let Dahlia in. She knew they would never give up.
Her phone lit up with Rebekah's name.
"Hi" she sighed in relief.
"Andrea" Rebekah replied, cautiously.
Although, she shrugged it off. "Have you seen Klaus?" she asked.
"Actually, this is about Klaus" she admitted.
"What's wrong Rebekah?" she asked, receiving no reply, only the distant breeze. "Tell me" she demanded.
"We think he's aligned with Dahlia" she admitted.
Her stomach churned, feeling sick, at the simple thought. "That's mad" she insisted. "He would never do that to me, to Hope" she persisted shaking her head vigorously, as she laid a hand on her forehead. "Where are you Bex" she sighed.
"Outside ..."
She sighed as she opened the door, "come in then" she urged.
Rebekah couldn't even meet Andrea's eyes as she entered the house.
She watched the shame on Rebekah's face as she sat down, refusing to look into her eyes. "What is it, now?" she finally asked. The silence was unbearable.
The door opened again, as Elijah walked in. "We need you to leave" he declared. "You and Hope are a beacon of power. However, you are more powerful, than her. If you leave it will draw Dahlia away" he explained.
"And where do you intend for me to go?" she asked raising an eyebrow.
"Is there anywhere neutralised to magic, like here?" he asked.
"Yes, a tomb full of two thousand years worth of my dead aunt sisters, you can understand why I don't want her there," she replied, glaring at him.
"If we keep her here Dhalia, might come back" he replied.
An idea came into her mind as she rushed over to her desk, pulling out a grimoire. "Not if I cast this" she murmured, staring down at the ancient ruins, she had studied for ever so long.
"What is your idea?"Elijah asked.
"You'll see" she shrugged off, smirking. She ignored his look of confusion as she looked at Hope with admiration. "I made a vow to my daughter Elijah," she told him. "A promise, I will keep, no matter who tries to stop me."
"I understand that but Dhalia -"
"Dahila doesn't know me, she knows you, she knows Klaus, she knows the Mikaelson mindset. My mind is completely different to your Elijah. She won't see me coming ..." she said ominously.
Elijah sighed at how persistent and self-assured she was. "I appreciate that Andrea. However, you have no guarantee that you alone can keep safe you nee -"
