Chapter 33
Protective Instinct

Andrea rolled awake, with a numb headache. She glanced over to see, her phone lit up, with Klaus' name.

She groaned, answering.

"If this is anything short, of the world caving in, I'm going to skin you alive" she swore, her vision swirling, with stars.

"Cami's missing" he declared.

"Fine, the worlds ending" she muttered, forcing herself up, despite her messy vision. "Anything else, I should know of?" she asked.

"Davina's injured" he sighed.

"You know, I was willing to cut you some slack, with Cami, but I'm gonna need an explanation now" she insisted, grabbing her jacket and struggling to pull it over her shoulders while holding her phone in her hands.

"I went to go and find Mikael and Davina, I found them, shoved Papa Tunde's blade in Mikael's heart and he somehow got it out, and has decided to take Cami hostage" he explained. "So, I'm in quite a bit of a predicament right now."

"Send me the address" she demanded, grabbing her keys and heading to her car. "I'll be there soon, and if anything, and I mean anything happens to Davina, I will skin you alive" she swore.

"I expect nothing less" he chuckled.

Andrea slammed the door to her car shut, as she began to tread through the mud. "Davina!" she called, as she headed, towards the small hut, at the top of the hill. "Davina are you there?!" she asked.

The door suddenly flung open, to reveal a dishevelled Davina. "Andrea" she gasped.

"There you are" she sighed, in relief, running to her, and pulling her in for a hug. She grabbed her chin, checking her face, yet, she seemed to be perfectly fine. "You're fine" she muttered.

"No, I'm not" Davina chuckled, shaking her head. She pulled her ankle up, to show the gruesome bruise, of her sprained ankle. "I fell on it yesterday, and it hasn't healed right" she explained.

Andrea sighed in frustration, running a hand through her hair. "Right, go sit down, while I figure this out" she muttered.

She may not have known what she was doing, but she was brilliant at winging things, after all.  Either way, she knew she'd find a solution to help Davina, no matter how hard, it was.

"You don't understand. I need to break Klaus' sirelin -"

"What?" Andrea blurted out.

"I know how close the two of you are, but if I break his sireline, then he can die, without Marcel or Josh having to die" she explained.

"Davina," Andrea said, far too calmly, for Davina's liking. "Sit down, right now" she demanded.

Eventually, the harvest witch gave in, heading back inside and sitting down on the sofa in protest, with her arms crossed.

Davina might have been annoyed but Andrea was amazed she was managing to keep her cool. She didn't want to snap at her but at the same time, she was about to risk everything, to stop Klaus. And she knew, it wouldn't be worth it.

Andrea went to follow her but got stuck, on the invisible barrier.

"Shit" she muttered.

She had forgotten about being a vampire, considering she hadn't tried to enter any houses that weren't hers or owned by vampires, recently.
