Chapter 49
Cheap

"Just because something is not perfect does not make it any less worthy of love. So, therefore I ask you, my Lord, do you think I am impotent in the principles, of the value in your heart? My Lord, am I the scorn in your eyes? Do you love another? Or love no one. Other, than your own, selfish heart."

"My heart bleeds for you," Klaus said, smirking up at her, the cocky grin on his face, made her glare at him.

She smiled, thinking of another book, she had read recently.

"You must know, surely, you must know, it was all for you. You are too generous to trifle with me. I believe you spoke with my Aunt last night and it has taught -"

"Pride and Prejudice" Klaus declared.

Andrea grounded, running her hands over her face. "How do you know so many!" she yelled at him.

"I enjoy literature" he replied, conspicuously. "When the world is boring and uneventful, there is always something happening in a book."

"Nerd" she mumbled, under her breath. "Okay, one more, one more and you won't get this one!" she swore.

He raised his hands in surrender as she began again. "He stepped down, trying not to look long at her, as if she were the sun, yet he saw her like the sun, even without -"

"Leo Tolstoy" Klaus answered.

"Fuck you, Klaus!" she finally screamed, throwing her arms down in frustration.

"1000 years of knowledge my darling" Klaus chuckled, placing his fingers over his lips, in an attempt to silence himself but he failed, as another chuckle slipped through his lips.

"Klaus Mikaelson, I swear to god, I will divorce you" she declared.

"You won't do that love, you need this marriage for your pack" he replied, grinning up at her. "And you're also hopelessly in love with me."

She glared at him, but there was a small smile, teasing at the corner of her lips. She could never stay mad at him. Maybe it was his eyes or the smirk that always played on his lips when he knew she was right but didn't want to admit it.

At the end of the day, she loved him. And that devotion was the reason, she stayed by his side every day.

He brought something out in her she had never felt before, and she adored it.

Andrea rounded the corner into the study to hear people talking.

"Clearly what the situation needs is more opinions" she heard Klaus say, as she walked through the door. Hayley, Freya, Elijah and Klaus all turned to look at her.

"I feel like I've walked in on something" she muttered, looking at the confusing gathering. "I'll just ... go," she said trying to creep out of the room.

"No, come in, come in" Klaus declared. "You might be the only one here, who knows what they're talking about" he exclaimed.

She furrowed her eyebrows but walked back into the room anyway. "Did something happen?" she whispered to Hayley. "Again?"

"Wasn't me, Elijah brought me here" she declared defending herself.

"I assume you told her about the bloody prophecy," Klaus said, rolling his eyes at the thought.

Hayley turned around staring at Elijah expectingly. "I was just getting to that" Elijah defended himself.

"Now would be good" Hayley insisted.
